Pre-Tournament alterations —Nov. 18, 2016

Some quick changes before Commander night tomorrow.

Out: Vivid Marsh, Vivid Grove, Malicious Affliction, Wall of Blossoms, Evolutionary Leap

In: Forest, Swamp, Burgeoning, Satyr Wayfinder, Grisly Salvage

Removing vivid lands as they are just bad and I do not need more mana fixing for a two-colour mana-base.

Evolutionary Leap is under-performing in my testing, and it does not put he creature it finds into my graveyard or onto the battlefield, which is where Meren wants creatures. In contrast both Satyr Wayfinder and Grisly Salvage fill up the graveyard early and cheaply. Grisly Salvage is questionable as I cannot recur it, but I feel it is worth trying out. It will probably get cut when I find acquire an Altar of Dementia.

Malicious Affliction is increasingly a dead card in the local meta, there are too many black (specifically golgari, oddly enough) commanders like Gitrog, Skullbriar and even Glissa.

I have no issue with Wall of Blossoms, but I don't feel like I need the card advantage it provides in many cases. There are simply other creatures I would rather reanimate.

Burgeoning might be too much with all of the mana acceleration I have in this deck, but it does a convincing Exploration impression so I want to try it out.

Will have another update some time next week with results from tomorrow's tournament and hopefully more testing.
