My first commander deck, based on the Meren precon.

The deck aims to generate value via sacrificing creatures with various sac outlets to disrupt the enemy while Meren gets her counters up and we can start reviving big boys like Butcher of Malakir, Grave Titan, Terastodon or Gray Merchant of Asphodel every turn.

The win condition of this is to basically grind out the opponents by:

Sacrificing worthless creatures for the glory of Lady Meren:Sakura-Tribe Elder, Spore Frog, Eternal Witness, Vampire Hexmage, Wall of Blossoms, Viridian Emissary All have great potential to be used as cheap, reusable biological fertilizer to prepare the soil for growing bigger, stronger creatures, all while providing excellent utility effects.

Making them sacrifice creatures: Fleshbag Marauder + Grave Pact + Merciless Executioner Dropping a Marauder on turn three and reviving it every end step can be insanely annoying for the opponents (and will draw lots of aggro), and as a bonus we keep ramping up those sweet XP counters.

Blowing up things with recurring removal:Reclamation Sage, Shriekmaw, Acidic Slime, Terastodon Another set of efficient utility creatures whose only purpose in life is to throw themselves on the dung pile for the greater good.

Raising that undead army: After we have thrown the table into turmoil we want to be slowly building up our own board: Bloodspore Thrinax + Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest + Mycoloth , Grave Titan, Creakwood Liege, and tutors like Evolutionary Leap, Buried Alive, Birthing Pod or Sidisi, Undead Vizier are all great tools to grow ourselves a nice litte Golgari army.

Also, our deck is profiting from the hordes of unlucky creatures dying left and right: Reaper of the Wilds , Algae Gharial , Scavenger Drake , Falkenrath Noble and Blood Artist are happy to feed on delicious corpses.

Once the table is sufficiently empty and only our army of all naturally recycled bodies still stands we can move in for the kill (for example with Gray Merchant of Asphodel)

Update:

I found out that I own a copy of Oblivion Stone, which is a great upgrade to Plague Boiler , but if you want to save a chunk of money, you can just use Plague Boiler instead. This would bring the budget down to around 110$.

I would be thankful for any suggestions for increasing the efficiency of my deck like cards you would cut and/or overlooked cards that would work well here !
