Introduction

Why I chose Jarad:

• I like burning/not turning cards sideways sometimes

• Golgari was my favorite color combo

• Foil Japanese Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord

• Fatties

So this deck was originally a Sidisi, Brood Tyrant deck, and eventually became The Gitrog Monster because... well, lands. I then decided that I wanted more varied playstyles among my decks (they still all involve burn, hahaha), so I switched to Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. Now, I've always been eyeing him, and never understood his playstyle. Then I realized that literally what he does is Fling fatties that gain power and toughness in the graveyard. Very simple, yet effective, strategy because I've also always enjoyed aristocrats-style decks. This deck makes use of quite a large amount of filler cards that one would probably not see in most other commander decks.

Budget

Blegh... budget. I'm not that rich, so I'll say the deck has to be around $65-ish for now. It's not what I'd want it to be, but it'll do for the time being. :)

Wincons

It's Jarad, you fling stuff. Seriously, enough said. Oh, you want actual winconcs? Okay.

• Flinging any large bodies (usually of power 10+)

• Commander damage if there are enough creatures in the graveyard, coupled with Rogue's Passage.

Combos/Interactions

• Wall of Blood with Jarad, Disciple of Bolas and the likes has some pretty nifty interactions

• Devoted Druid + Quillspike gives infinite power and damage

• Drownyard Temple + The Gitrog Monster is a draw engine, with Dakmor Salvage is a dredge engine

Gets hated out very fast due to being able to take down multiple opponents at once
