Maybeboard

First of all: Welcome everyone who reads this description!

This is a B/G EDH combo oriented. The entire deck is based on get your combo fast or be EXTREMLY annoying with the graveyard. It has a lot of ramp and creature removal as well. So, let get started with the explanation:

The main combo is: Blood Artist + Deity of Scars + Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and every other variant with Melira, Sylvok Outcast + Woodfall Primus + Zulaport Cutthroat or any other creature with persist. To do this you'll need a sacrifice source, just like Blood Bairn or Viscera Seer. These are your mainly win-con to every game.

To do this faster, you got insanely good tutors to search with. If I have Diabolic Tutor on hand, I always (some exceptions) search for a Pattern of Rebirth. Is always nice to have that card on hand, trust me. Do not cast it if you can't proc it as soon as possible. The point of this cart is getting Woodland Bellower to Eternal Witness.Even Birthing Pod is good, but you have to keep in mind your creature's converted mana cost; and what to get in to put preassure on your opponents (since you can only activate as a sorcery).

But you can still win (or be super annoying) with another things:

  • If you have Butcher of Malakir or Grave Pact you can clean the board easily.

  • In a multiplayer game, Sepulchral Primordial becomes a good card, and you want to tutor it faster.

  • Goods things to do with Mikaeus on battlefield: Sacrifice Faceless Butcher as soon as he target a creature. So, that creature will be exiled and then the butcher's 2nd ability will trigger while the first one is on the stack. Then, the trigger will fail because no creature is exiled when the ability tries to resolve. Finally, the creature remains exiled and your Faceless Butcher is now on battlefield (with a +1/+1 counter) and ready to do that again.

  • Life gain is always good. You can search for a Pelakka Wurm or Kokusho, the Evening Star and "blink" them with Mikaeus (or bring it back from graveyard with Meren). Momentous Fall is good too.

Now let's talk about Meren.

Your commander is the most important thing in the early game, but don't waste it. Unlike others 2015 commanders, you don't have to cast it ASAP to get experience counter faster. If you can't get 2 or 3 experience counter in the first turn you played him, simply don't do it. This is because he's a nice target for a creature's removal, and then you'll have to wait until you have 6 mana to play him again.

I usually play him when I have something like Sakura-Tribe Elder and/or Dawntreader Elk. When Meren resolves, sacrifce both of them (if you can) and you will have 2 experience counter. Then, at the end of the turn, get Sakura back. You will have enough counter to make Meren worth and 3 additional lands.

The other cards are explained by itself.

Hope you enjoy the deck, and sorry for my english, I did my best for you to understand me.
