I hit Genesis Wave pretty effectively a few times(14+) around turn 6, and deal waaaay more than lethal on turn 7. Of course, that's in solitaire.
I'll post some results once I get the cards all together and play some FNM.
Best solitaire as of yet: 215 damage turn 7, intimidate-trample.
Have you considered Terra Stomper ? It's a terrific card and heavily underrated. You don't have to worry about getting Mana Leak ed, Corrupted Resolve d, or Flashfreeze d (Flashfrozen?). Then it's a huge body to fuel your Overwhelming Stampede . I love it because it's a relatively easy turn-3 play with ramp and it's a good fetch for the Zenith in the mid/late game.
Also, Joraga Treespeaker is just dying to have a spot in this deck.
Check out deck:the-finely-lubricated-green-machine for inspiration. I use it quite frequently at FNM and other tournaments, and typically with a grain of success.
Oh. And you're currently sitting at 62 cards. Just a heads-up.
I did consider Terra Stomper , but I'm going to see how well the deck does in the current build. It's a last shot at that Zendikar feel of monogreen, where it's about nothing but total faceraep by ramp and green.
There are already a lot of cards that will need to be removed after the new set drops later in the year, and I'm already looking for new cards from the Scars and what I hope will continue to be in the core sets. I am terribly sad to see my favorite set rotating.
Oh, and Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger will very much be replacing some ramp. My only issue is that it's a bit late game, and I'll be waiting on a gen-wave by the time it comes out. There will be an entirely new decklist I'm going to make for this deck's replacement.
Thanks for the tips by the way, always happy to see what advice other people have for me.
Here's the updated list: Updated Mega-Ramp
And actually, a turn 5 Overrun made me consider a standard elfball I plan on making in the next few days.
