My personal view on Mayael the Anima: I've been trying to make it as competitive as a naya, non-comboy deck could be. Have experimented a lot and tried to maintain the deck very quick and to have the most impactful Naya bomb creatures.

I'm Searching for any powerful 2 or 3 pieces 5+ power creature combos that would win me the game on the spot. I'm not willing to use any of kikki jikki (restoration, felidar or zealous conscripts) combos. If there is a 5+ power creature that combos with kikki jikki it's okay, kiki jikki alone is a great utility creature to have on board

Survival of the fittest > discard creature > searc legendary bomb apropriate to the board state > discard this legendary> search for Loyal retainers > cast loyal retainers and bring back the bomb

End step before your turn 4 or 5 green mana avaliable and Survival of the fittest > discard creature > search for legendary > discard legendary > search for Sun titan > Discard Sun titan > Search for Loyal retainers > discard Loyal retainers > Search for Karmic guide > your turn > cast karmic guide > get sun titan back >get retainers back > sac retainers to get legendary back

Selvala heart of the wilds + Patron of the orochi + any forest > Selvala taps for 12 any colored mana your turn and 6 mana each other turn

Sneak attack (purphoros) + Ilharg + Sensei's divinig top + Any good beater/etb effect in your hand Sneaks in ilharg> atack with him > get free creature on the table atacking > get free creature back to your hand > get ilharg on 3rd from the top > activate put ilharg on top of your deck > top and repeat on your next turn

Selvala + Nyxbloom Ancient > Selvala taps for 14 any coloured mana

Worldly tutor (or enlightened tutor) + Mayael + Mayael actvating cost + 1 Green (or white) mana to spare > Activate Mayael's ability > Searches for avacyn (worldly) or archetype of endurance (worldly or enlightened) > put on top > resolves mayael's ability > Dodge spot removal searching archetype and most of global removals and some spot removals searching for Avacyn

NOTABLE INCLUSIONS

Realm cloaked Giant: A tutorable in naya wrath effect (upside I have some other giants mainboard)

Appex Altisaur: sinergizes very well with avacyn and is another tutorable "wrath effect" besides can wrath the table instant speed

Bane of progress: despite not having 5+ power it is Tutorable artifacts and enchantment global removal

ON PROBATION This cards I am testing right now in this version of the deck

Panglacial Wurm: It's a 9/5 trampler which is "always" in my hand and can be cast instant speed out of nowhere.

Patron of the orochi: May help me ramp if get to the table early game and may double as a second Seedborn muse.

NOTABLE EXCLUSIONS:

Wurmcoil engine I've been willing to try it out again some time, the life link and the tokens are some sort of resilience for the deck

Worldspine Wurm, I believe it's just a big dumb creature, Ive taken it out a long time ago, not sure if in this very explosive form of the deck it could be better.

Xenagos god of revelrys, just replaced it for purphoros for some reason, purphoros gives all my creatures haste, purphoros doubles as an aditional copy of sneak attack and purphoros as mono red is less suceptible to becoma a creature and get plowshared.

Mirari's wake / Mana reflection : trying the creature 5+ power versions that are Vorynclex and Nyxbloom Ancient

Rythm of the wild / fires of yavimaya: exchanged for purphoros and kept 2 lands that make creatures hasty.

Lurking predators: It's a great card, but I can't afford that many do nothing as enters the battlefield 6 mana enchantment

Cultivate / kodama's reach: trying to keep my ramp as low to the ground as possible, 3 mana is to much for just 1 mana ramped

Tooth and nail: As I'm not willing to put any 2 creature combo that have less than 5 power (to be accesible with mayael ability) I'm not sure that it's okay to keep it. If i ever get a 2 piece auto win combo with both creatures having 5+ power, I would bring it back

Smothering tithe: the same reason as lurking predators

Oracle of mul daya: I run only 31 lands, I was keeping hands with mul daya expecting to be ramping of her and losing games because of it

Craterhoof Behemoth/ Avenger of Zendikar: Craterhoof is a win more card in this deck, if I find a combo to bring purphoros, avenger of zendikar and craterhoof to the table at the same time, I would put both of them back. As I run only 31 lands, Avenger is a little bit suboptimal.

Stonehoof chieftain: My creatures on more competitive table's are not that suceptible to be killed in combat Reagal Behemoth: Countless time I had him on the board and couldn't count om him to double my mana.
