Trying to get into Commander for the first time, so I decided to put a deck together around Mayael because I love big creatures.

I'll try to articulate some design choices as best as a new player can.

Even before I added my big drop creatures, I knew that I really wanted to have a lot of board protection for this deck. I believe the first card I added was Avacyn, Angel of Hope to make sure I added some effects that would save all my creatures from removal and wraths.

I included a ton of ramp in this deck, 14 cards if I'm not mistaken. I wanted to make sure I could get both activate Mayael the Anima early and have mana to hard cast some of the big creatures that made it into my hand.

I think I might be a little weak on card draw. I only have 8 effects if my counting is correct. Cards like Harmonize and Sylvan Library are great, but a lot of my card draw comes from more unreliable drops like Regal Force and Combustible Gearhulk. I could probably use more card draw, and I'd be happy to receive some ideas for it in Naya.
