MAJOR OVERHAUL —Aug. 18, 2017
I was a bit stubborn with what I ended up with yesterday, so I went ahead and played with that build and well it didn't turn out the way I wanted to. It was just way too inconsistent, so I have changed it up to give it more consistency and removed dead cards (such as quarry hauler, which at the time I thought was good) and added in better cards. Please feel free to leave suggestions and explanations. It really helps a ton!
I have cut Life Goes On and Endless Sands. I get what you meant about the lifegain and in retrospect Endless sands wasn't doing alot for me anyways. I have put in some Channeler Initiates (I'm going to add Nest of Scarabs so that Channeler Initiates procs that alot) If I don't add Nest of Scarabs, then I might switch channeler Initiates for Naga Vitalist. I cut some Hapatra's Marks. I flipped the number of Rampaging Hippo and Scaled Behemoth so 2x, 4x respectively.

Hey friend! Love this deck. I would first make this deck exactly 60 cards, since that ups your odds of drawing your better cards. I would cut the Mouth//Feed, the Hippos, the Behemoth to find room. You can also cut 1 Forest probably.
Then, since that's cutting more than 4 cards, I would add Obelisk Spider mainboard. That incidental lifegain on a great defensive body is soooo good. More Nests wouldn't hurt either.

I like your ideas, I have implemented them a little bit cutting out the Rampaging Hippos, since behemoth are better. Cut one behemoth and a forest, as well as one mouth/feed. Added 3 obelisk spiders and I think I'm down to 62 cards now? I know 60 is the optimal number of cards in a deck, but I can't see how to cut two more cards without causing more harm than good?The reason I don't have more nests is because it's dependent on me having enough mana to lay the nest down, and then my other creatures to proc it.

I would cut the Life Goes On and Endless Sands. Lifegain is just not good enough and in your deck a forest would be better than endless sands. You have a lot of large creatures so i would put in some Channeler Initiate wich is on theame with the -1/-1 counters. I think you should take out maybe two Hapatra's Mark and play them in sideboard instead. I know you want the river theme but you should take out some Rampaging Hippo and use more Scaled Behemoth. If you splash black i would use Obelisk Spider too. Good luck with the deck.
