Mathemagics! Stupidly odd combo deck!

Commander / EDH Casual Combo Control Four Color Storm WUBR

MurderForBrunch

Hi all! Welcome to the wackiest deck idea I've ever had! It's a stupidly hard to pull-off combo, but I believe one of the funniest decks to play I'll ever have. I still have a couple key pieces to gather, but I'm super excited for it! The hardest part sometimes is actually not winning with some big spell, and force the combo! But what's the point if you dont pull it off?

Main Combo

The two main Win conditions of the deck are Triskaidekaphobia and Hidetsugu's Second Rite, which only kill our opponents if they are at a very specific life. Now, Second's Rite has backups like Sorin's Vengeance for example, or Searing Wind which is not in the deck because it's quite expensive, and by far not as good as Sorin's Vengeance.

The main plan to set up the combo, is to storm-off with Thousand-Year Storm, generating quite a lot of mana with some rituals like Cabal Ritual or Mana Geyser. Just imagine a Mana Geyser after playing 4 or 5 spells! After that, the idea is to manipulate everyone's life total with X spells like Comet Storm or even classic Lightning Bolt and leave everyone at 13 or 10 life to finish them off with one of the two (thee) win cons. Sometimes, because commander, your opponents will have less life than 10, so I also included a Healing Salve to increase their life to 10 or 13 and win that way. Finally pingers like card: Nic-Mizzet, Parun or Thermo-Alchemist do good work manipulating life totals.

Non-Combo spells

Of the non-combo spells there is a bit of everything. There are some counterspells like Mystic Confluence (which is also a draw spell), Disallow, Pact of Negation and Swan Song.

Also there is some removal in the form of Anguished Unmaking and Utter End as catch-all answers. Some burn in the form of Lightning Bolt, Gut Shot, Expansion / Explosion and Jaya's Immolating Inferno (the first two get mutch better with Thousand-Year Storm)

Finally there is card draw in the form of Frantic Search, Chemister's Insight, Brainstorm, Ponder and Preordain among others. Some regrow effects like Flood of Recollection or Mission Briefing could be considered as card draw ish.

Backup Combo

If the main plan doesn't work, the other plan to kill everyone is hilarious! You have to go for it if nobody has flyers, otherwise it doesn't work. First you play Crackling Drake, or you already have it in play, it's a good creature. If if's not summoning sick you play and equip Blade of Selves, attack everyone, and before damage you play Demonic Consultation naming Phelddagrif, exile your entire library and deal 40 damage to everyone! I don't see how anything could go wrong! :D

The setup of the combo is the most challenging part of this deck. For the main win cons, there are a surprising ammount of cards that set our oppontents life to specifically 10, there's two! One of them being Sorin Markov and the second being Magister Sphinx. There is also a Tree of Perdition which can make someone's life 13. I also added a Strionic Resonator to copy those abilities.

The most challenging part is when you don't have those cards, and you have to storm-off with Thousand-Year Storm, specifically Triskaidekaphobia triggers on you upkeep. That's why Temporal Mastery is there. Also, there's quite a lot of tutors in Mystical Tutor, Enlightened Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Academy Rector, Mystical Teachings and Behold the Beyond. Oh! And Dark Petition which if cast after a bunch of spells with Tousand-Year Storm it floats a bunch of black mana!

Now the actual really challenging part of the deck is all the necessary calculations of dealing damage, and leveraging life totals, when to heal them, when to deal damage... play Comet Storm for X equal 3 or 5 to equal life totals, and kill more than one people at a time... Hence the name of the deck, Mathemagics! With this deck it might be too easy to kill them storming-off and just killing them with a huge Fireball effect, if you want the moral victory, you win with 8 or 9 copies of Hidetsugu's Second Rite in the stack! :D

Commanders and other creatures

The two generals Ludevic, Necro-Alchemist and Tymna the Weaver are there mostly for colours, but at the same time they ensure card draw, which is vital for this deck. Also, Ludevic also encourages other players not to attack you and attack someone else. However, there are not very many creatures in this deck, specially when one of them counts as a combo piece, and another as a tutor. That's why there's pingers in the deck to deal damage to other players, and draw in your end step.

Artifacts and Enchantments

Most of the artifacts in the deck are ramp. Obviously there's a Sol Ring, also a Primal Amulet   and Worn Powerstone. But there's also other cards such as Sentinel Tower which can act as both a pinger to draw cards, or a combo piece if you storm-off.

In the enchantment section, there's a Search for Azcanta   as a card selection, and late game it diggs spells, and also Firemind's Research which can both draw cards or deal damage.

So, that's the deck! What to you think of it? Do you like it? Do you hate it? Is there some "Deal 10 damage" or "Deal 13 Damage" that I forgot to include? Any feedback is more than welcome! :D
