Description

So far the only viable mono green CEDH commander I know is Selvala, Heart of the Wilds. But in my opinion, the great thing about building Marwyn is that she is more scalable than Selvala. Marwyn can be started on a budget and then slowly built up to accommodate more expensive pieces over time.

Marwyn can definitely be competitive. Building a budget Marwyn similar to Selvala (mono green storm), allows for consistent T3 game-winning combos. You just have to be smart about your mulligans and lines of play. But with only a few players using Marwyn, it's hard to determine how she stacks up against Selvala as the mono-green commander of choice for EDH.

General Gameplay

Without the more expensive pieces, the earliest we can cast Marwyn is T2. We then just pump Marwyn, and then we keep on untapping, drawing and tutoring into more fuel cards, until an infinite mana engine can be assembled. usually with Wirewood Symbiote + Temur Sabertooth + elf, or Umbral Mantle, or Staff of Domination. Then we can continue repeating a bounce loop for infinite mana/ draw/ life/ tutor/ destroy, depending on our available cards.

The main wincon for the deck is using infinite mana to enable Walking Ballista. The alternate wincon is swinging with all our hasty monstrous creatures using Finale of Devastation.

The following will definitely be removed from the deck, among others being considered: Aspect of Hydra, Hunt the Hunter, Essence Warden, Priest of Titania.
