Mardu Transformers

Casual

Sideboard

It's exactly what it sounds like. Stuff that transforms in Mardu colors. I'm gonna explain each card as best I can for why it's in the deck save for most lands because they're self explanatory. The main idea of the deck is to get one of your transformers out, preferably either a meld creature or one of your planeswalkers or both, and beat the opponent until they stop moving.

ARTIFACTS

Only one Artifact: Cultivator's Caravan. It has a pseudo-transform ability with Crew but otherwise it mana fixes and is a 5/5 beatstick when you have the mana you need.

Creatures

Archangel Avacyn is a one of because she's strong but you don't always want to see her.

Bruna, the Fading Light is a three of because of how synergistic she is with the rest of the deck. She revives an Angel or Human and only one creature in our whole deck isn't either of those which rocks. She also transforms with...

Gisela, the Broken Blade. Gisela gets two slots instead of three because their transformation is strong but like I said, you don't need really more than two uncountered transformations to make this deck work, so you don't always need her.

Graf Rats are the only non-human, non-angel in the deck. It's a two of because it doesn't have a direct effect on the field like Bruna and other certain cards are, but it's still important enough to see it when you have a Midnight Scavengers on the field.

Hanweir Garrison This card rocks. I love this card even non transformed. It's really awesome to go wide with and I'd include 4 copies if this wasn't intended for casual play because dang it's really good.

Kytheon, Hero of Akros   Ol beefslab's gotta show his face in about anything, doesn't he? Yup, even here, Gideon is pretty awesome and super easy to get off a little into the early-mid game.

Liliana, Heretical Healer   Just like Gideon, Liliana is showing up to the party. There's no Chandra in this deck, but these two seem to work together just fine by themselves. She's awesome if you use Galvanic Bombardment on a cheap creature that you don't need for whatever reason.

Midnight Scavengers is the second piece of the Graf Rats puzzle and their ability is very relevant to the deck. Five of our Nine different creatures can be hit by this card's recursion ability, which is fine in my book because what we can't hit with this, Bruna can.

Town Gossipmonger   is the last of our creatures and I think it's an important one. Another one-cost transformer that can beat face in the early game is perfect for the tempo we want to set for the deck.

Enchantments

Always Watching is a one-of because I just couldn't fit more in. This is fantastic for our transformers stat-wise and three mana for a wide buff to all non-token creatures is great for the deck. I'll probably find something to cut for it, but until then, it's a one-of.

Quarantine Field Also a one-of because tfw no space. Quarantine Field is a wonderful mana dump against grindy matches that aren't working out in your favor. It turns the tide so fast and it can let you get those last bits of damage in to kill.

Stasis Snare I know someone could get confused about why I don't just make Stasis Snare a playset instead of what I do have it at, and the simple answer is: Yeah it's more expensive, but in the late game, do you want to spend eight mana and exile three creatures from your opponents board or (let's assume you have all copies of this card in hand) nine mana to exile three creatures. On just one target, This card is better but Quarantine Field is ultimately cheaper for you in the long run.

Instants

Expedite Because giving your transformers haste is fun.

Galvanic Bombardment A scaling burn spell that starts as a Shock, then turns into a Lightning Bolt then... you get the idea.

Uncaged Fury Again, in grindy matches where you need that combat trick, this is a great ace to throw on Brisela, Voice of Nightmares or Ormendahl, Profane Prince.

Speaking of:

Transformer Lands

Hanweir Battlements + Hanweir Garrison = Hanweir, the Writhing Township

Westvale Abbey   can turn itself on in the late game or earlier to help trigger Liliana and/or Avacyn. Plus, throwing Bruna out after you have Ormendahl eat one or two of your creatures, Bruna can pull a Mercy and res one of the bigger ones. Good stuff.

Needle Spires and Shambling Vent are pseudo-transformers too like Cultivator's Caravan and they are nice late game mana sinks too.

Sideboard

I won't go into too much about this, but there's another copy of Avacyn.

Three Inner Struggle and Three Smite the Monstrous against people who also play big scary creatures everywhere.

Behold the Beyond for if you REALLY gotta get those Transformers and it's go time. Diabolic Tutor is here for it too.

Providence is for any aggro matches you can manage to pull this in your opening hand against.

Rising Miasma because this is a casual deck and man really screw those zombies!

Ending and Final Thoughts

So, what is this deck trying to do? Transform stuff and roll out. Is this competitive? Heck no! This is garbage against modern decks and this isn't even standard legal anymore(It was when I made it initially but now Origins rotated so I said screw it). Feel free to let me know what you guys would do to improve this or if you like it for how janky it is and want to let me know how it does against another casual deck, let me know. I'm interested to hear anything you all have to say.
