Low mana curve. The right hand can swing for ten plus on turn three given you can play the mardu ascendancy. Ascendancy meshes well with battalion, battle cry and can be sacrificed to potentially save your creatures. The new skyknight vanguard seems to be a good addition, flying makes it a great card. and vexing devil was only made an option to me after the reprint dropped its' dollar value greatly. I like one-drops. Swiftblade vindicator would be great too but I already run it in my odric and warrior tribal decks, I don't want to become too redundant.
