Bursting through quarters' door stumbled a weathered warrior. He sighed as the moment gathered around him, resting on a now discarded bastard sword - it would do him no good now elsewise. Drunk, yet graven, he slammed the door too hard behind without intention. Looking onward, reminded of his stupor, he is also reminded - he has a bed.

Peering back from the mirror, wrinkles entrenched themselves between fevered eyes. He grasped at a now white beard. He had always thought of beards as face pubes. But, after a campaign or two, it just sort of appears. He thought about removing his own, then again it drew attention from the spattering of age that seemed to draw the eyes of those he attempted to maintain contact thereof. To himself, "better the beard," besides if simply to illicit respect, "that's what capes are for!" Upon dawning that tattered, grayed, albeit once red garment, he was ready to walk.

Kneeling before the earth, the haggard warrior studying the once lush terrain. The image of a general he once knew flickered in his mind like he watched a shaman's flame. Grasping, as he did now, some of the earth, rubbed it against his fingers, smelled, arising in trance. Once upon a time this wandering sellsword, with only his advanced years to denote an otherwise doubtful merit, was a Baron in his own right. With no longer such a barony, he couldn't help but feel dishonored by this land, the travesty all around him, as a stern fury built, and became him, the Baron. The wind around him picked up over the wastes howling of battles to be waged. He curved it with his pride, his fury, his duty across those unfettered places, over the highlands, calling forth the deep pointed oxen-horned dragon, scaled of pearl and glimmering gold, Oros, the avenger. For glory, honorbound, he would grant this lifeless land a proper burial.
