Welcome to Mardu Aggro. This deck is a three color slant on the Boros aggro decks that popped up during the GRN Standard format. This list takes the Boros aggro idea and adds black to utilize certain creature synergies and anthem effects. I currently play primarily on Magic Arena both Bo1 and Bo3.

Original Post

A Boros Aggro build with a splash of black to utilize the vampire creature synergies. I really enjoy experimental frenzy and it seems to fit this deck with all the low mana creatures and low land count.

There is some resiliency in the creature base to sweepers with the likes of Martyr of Dusk and Adanto Vanguard . Legion Lieutenant and Mavren Fein, Dusk Apostle provide board pressure as you head into mid-game looking for a Heroic Reinforcements or Experimental Frenzy to close out games. Skymarcher Aspirant provides a lot of pressure once you have the City's Blessing and helps break board stalls. History of Benalia and Legion's Landing   also provide early and quick pressure and are commonly used in white based aggro decks.

The plan is straightforward: Play your creatures fast and try to close out games early. If the game goes longer than expected, Experimental Frenzy is there to keep you going.

RNA Update! 15 Jan 2018

Now we have a list of RNA cards as well as check and shock lands in Rakdos and Orzhov colors. In this update, I am adding in some new shock lands and replacing Mavren Fein, Dusk Apostle with Judith, the Scourge Diva to add some more creature pump and additional burn when creatures don't make it through battle. We lose the Legion Lieutenant vampire buff but gain an overall creature buff with added burn pressure. There are now 10 creatures with lord effects, which can snuff out a game quickly.

Revival: Historic

Over two years later and I am coming back to this list to revisit it's potential in the Historic format. I was always a fan of big and wide anthem aggro lists and with some extra spice in Experimental Frenzy , perhaps this can list can transition to Historic.

At time of post, currently I am swapping some lands and sideboard cards while exploring new potential creatures to add to the list.
