I wanted to do a pauper challenge by using any legendary creature as the only rare and the rest are commons. Why? I dunno, just felt like it. However, I did want to try and make this a viable deck that can stand up to other high quality decks on the market. The only way I know how is to go the combo route.

Whether it's a simple combo of Midnight Guard + Presence of Gond or a convoluted one involving Marath, Ivy Lane Denizen , Ashnod's Altar , and Prismite for infinite mana, I just felt like it was a fun idea.
