+1/+1 Counter deck designed to be interactive in a variety of ways, primarily with activated abilities and distinctive passive triggers. Generally, there is always something you can do when playing this deck, even if it's just handling your triggers as they come.

This deck deliberately avoids most Hydras, as they're strong but not necessarily fun/interactive. This deck leans casual but has been active and competitive every game I've played where I wasn't mana screwed. The deck was originally built with a heavier use of deathtouch and trample, but was toned down to make the deck less devastating when playing with my friends. Swapping in a few extra deathtouch artifacts (Gorgon's Head/Flail) and more trample enablers can cause some pretty devastating swings. And of course, Marath with deathtouch is a machine gun.

There is a small Beast/Elemental tribal flavor that is intentional. The few non-counter based creatures in the deck fit this mold but also come with useful abilities.

This deck does best when only committing 1-3 creatures to the board and holding up mana for activated abilities and protection spells. Wilderness Reclamation is fantastic with all the activated abilities in this deck.

I may eventually add in Runaway Steam Kin, as it adds a slightly convoluted and silly infinite combo that I feel is fair. Combo needs Marath, Runaway, and any two of Pir, Hardened Scales, or Primal Vigor. Runaway without combo might still be a solid add as another mana dork with counters.

This deck is an easy one to swap cards in and out for testing or just for freshening up the deck.

Scavenging Ooze is "sideboarded" for graveyard decks.
