Also, how are you going to get your opponent to discard your Guerrilla Tactics ? I see that it is kinda cool and all, but it's not going to work well with the deck.
Actually strongly considering swapping out the black in favor of Faithless Looting and Demonfire /card:Devil's Play/Increasing Vengeance but I guess we'll have to see how it playtests.
I wouldn't swap out the Black really, it makes your Unearth creatures work :D
card:Devil's Play would be a nice finisher. Increasing Vengeance on a Blightning would be cute, but you don't have mnay instants and sorceries to make that really worth it.
I also suggest getting someone who knows Modern (and also knows what he/she is talking about) to help with this deck because I myself am possibly insane.
Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded , in my personal insane opinion, is not a planeswalker you would want to have out on turn 2. What could you possibly defend him with by turn 2? I think he is a much better mid-game walker, so once you have a Reckless Wurm and Avatar of Discord blocking for you, he can work his magic.
That's another reason why I would recommend Jagged Poppet over Ashenmoor Gouger . Jagged Poppet can actually block for you.
With all the unearth creatures you have check out Burning Vengeance . Love the deck btw I used to have a deck with Tibalt and unearth it was so fun! +1
@ CrimsonKing69: Uneath doesn't cast the creature again, it just returns it directly to play, so Burning Vengeance doesn't work with them.
This looks like a pretty insane deck for Tibalt to be in. I'd have to play the deck a couple times to give my opinion on what, if anything should change from how it is, but I've always had a sweet spot for Madness. And on top of that, it's budget as hell. (Tibalt's pretty much a dollar rare now right? I pulled one at the prerelease, when it was 20-25 bucks and got rid of it immediately.)
Yeah Tibalt is like $2-3. Pretty sweet. Loving how cheap this is coming out. Considering Simian Spirit Guide as an early mana option and to help pull off some madness costs and also empty my hand. But we'll see.
maybe Demigod of Revenge ?
Mostly because I draw and discard a crap ton of cards so I always end up drawing into him, and he's a mid-to-late play anyways. I dunno, I limited the Tibalt count because I don't want to draw more than I need and be forced to discard him instead of something more useful I could discard.
Like the deck and Tibalt is probably my favorite planeswalker. I'm not sure what you are using him for though.. is it only the +1? If you are trying to make his -4 go off Reforge the Soul could be an addition.
I'm using the combo in my miracle deck: Faithless Miracle, nothing fancy but it works great seeing that more often than not I have an empty hand, and 6-7 damage to the opponent is nothing to scoff at:)
This looks like a ton of fun. Coolest Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded deck I've seen yet.
Looks like you have flying pretty well covered, but have you considered Rakdos Pit Dragon
hey, im working on a smiliar deck at the moment: Rakdos Tibalt. does reckless wurm work for you? i never have 3 mana right at the moment when i discard something.
Yeah, actually. You have to kind of set up for it, but it happens often enough in my experience. You probably won't be able to reliably do it until turn 4 or so, though. It can happen on turn 3 off of a Tibalt discard, but that's highly unlikely, as you probably don't want Tibalt on the field that early anyways. You don't always have to go for madness costs. Sometimes it's smarter to hold onto that Fiery Temper . The real point of the madness cards is to give you options/upside when you discard. I'm open to other card selections, however.
I may replace Reckless Wurm with Demigod of Revenge .
I myself built a Tibalt deck, but it centers on Flashback and Unearth. Tibalt is something I drop every turn 2, because normally I'm popping him for 5-6 damage turn four. Good cheap burn spells like Lightning Bolt and Firebolt deal with their early game attackers, and a turn 3 combo with Lightning Bolt and Increasing Vengeance usually means they're dead by turn 5 or 6. Another good card for later game is Lightning Surge since if the deck is working correctly, its Threshold ability deals a hefty 6 unpreventable burn damage.

Wow. Just...wow. Love it. +1 from me.
Faithless Looting is a very good discard spell, but I think you've already got the discard under wraps. But if you DO need more self-discard, Ashenmoor Gouger could be swapped out for Jagged Poppet ? It is very silly and, once it discards your opponent, means that while they are discarding cards, you have already played yours.
