Maybeboard


Some Months Ago:
This deck was created with what I had at home at the moment it was built, so it is not that strong. It's a typical Maelstrom Wanderer deck, with an average of 50 ramps+lands and the rest of bombs, mainly budgets ones, as my collection isn't that big.

Nowadays:
Ok, this bitch is getting seriously strong.
After some months of improvement, it reached a quite consistent play. I kept the 50 ramps+lands, which I consider one of the best decisions made for this deck.

I will put in topics here what I think is relevant to the deck. The Build is made with 3 large groups, the removals, the bombs (separated into creatures and noncreatures) and the ramps.

  • Run from 50 to 55 ramps + lands. I consider ramp what costs up to 4 manas and increases the amount of mana that you can generate. Place 37 or more land. I give preference to land ramps, as they are harder to remove, so they make a more solid resource.

  • Bomb is what when you can cast does not necessarily win the game, but puts you in a favorable position. They cost 6 or 7 manas or are overpower, like Ruination or Xenagos, God of Revels.

  • The draw part was a little tricky for me too. The solution I found was using cards that has wheel effect, as it fills your hand, which is spent very quickly by having too much land and ramp in the deck, and also disrupts the strategy of your opponents.

  • A nice tip is running enough creature bombs. This deck is made to win the game by punchy crunchy in the face and not the spellzinha bullshit people think. The commander gives you shit to this.
