Sorcery (1)

Magic is fun, to be sure, but the main problem with it is that you don't know what's in your opponent's deck most of the time, and they can use the stuff in said deck against you.

This deck is designed to get around that little issue.

Subtle ramp early game with your untargetable, high-toughness Sylvan Caryatids and your high-toughness land filtering Courser of Kruphix will lull your opponent into a false sense of security, allowing them to believe you are aiming for a popular 4-5 drop creature such as Arbor Colossus or Polukranos, World Eater. Your control package (Bile Blight to deal with swarm tactics, Sultai Charm and Murderous Cut to deal with bigger threats, plus counterspells) will keep them at bay long enough for you to hit five mana. That's the magic number.

Wait for an opening, and drop Dictate of Karametra at your opponent's end step. Ideally, you want to be able to untap into 12-13 available mana, but five is just fine if you're pressured or if you know your opponent is brewing something up. Move to your turn. Untap. Draw. Apologize to your opponent.

Drop Villainous Wealth for 10.

The chances of your opponent recovering from this is very slim. Are they running a burn deck? Control? Hardcore aggro? It doesn't matter, because now they're working against your deck AND THEIR OWN. Hitting X=10 not only guarantees that you'll be able to play ANY spell in Standard FOR FREE, it also vastly increases your chances to hit at least three high-value spells in their deck. It's pretty much a blowout.

I am working on a sideboard to make this deck more effective against control, but I have been happy with the results so far. Any suggestions for safer or faster ramping and control are appreciated.
