I am now beginning the process of updating this deck to Magic 2015 Standard.

First card leaving... Tome ScourIt's replacement? Mind SculptSure, it is 1 more mana, but for 2 more cards, so I think that is ok.

Next card leaving... TraumatizeOk, so this one is a bit harder to replace. There is nothing in M2015 that replaces this, so the slots that are empty are actually going to be filled with Tormod's Crypt

Next on the outs... Doom BladeWe have a couple options for this one, they are just slightly more expensive. I am thinking Hero's Downfall

Now, a card not rotating, but getting the boot anyway, I am swapping Dissolve for Dissipate. I will explain why shortly.

Finally, we lose Jace, Memory AdeptThis is a big one, as losing this Jace, along with Traumatize changes the way this deck will play. I am going to go with Jace, the Living Guildpact. I will explain more.....

OK... so here it comes. With the loss of Traumatize and Jace, Memory Adept, this deck will no longer work as a straight up mill deck. Prior to rotation I was winning about 75%-80% of matches by milling my opponent, but without those cards, it just will not reliably happen.

Enter the NEW mill deck. The goal? Psychic Intrusion , Tormod's Crypt & Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver are there to EXILE everything they possibly can. Why? Because then we stall the game until we can ultimate Jace, the Living Guildpact . We both shuffle our hand and graveyard back into our decks. Now we can begin again with OUR FULL 60, while if things have worked out, the opponent will only have 20-30 cards which are not in exile.

Yes, it is a very slow game, and I am still testing to see if it is workable. I think I will need some further ways of stalling the game to make it really work. I have also considered adding green for ramp.

Comments are of course appreciated.

Original deck description:

Theros standard Dimir Mill deck, now with some Born of the Gods cards added.

Main idea of the deck is simply to use Jace, Memory Adept + Mind Grind + Tome Scour + Traumatize to eat my opponents deck.

Thoughtseize helps me get rid of problem cards and against control decks Duress can be boarded in to help as well.

Thassa, God of the Sea helps me to get the cards I need when I need them. I do not expect Thassa to be a creature in 99% of cases, but that is ok.

Psychic Intrusion and Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver both pull double duty, getting rid of cards and also providing me with extra blockers, attackers, or ways of dealing with threats.

Dissolve and Psychic Strike are there to stop my opponents spells, while Doom Blade deals with anything that does get through.

And then of course with all the cards hitting the graveyard, Lazav, Dimir Mastermind is there to step in and become a copy of the biggest, baddest thing I just made my opponent throw away.

Finally, if all else fails, AEtherling can be sideboarded on and is a clock all by himself.

Born of the Gods provides us with one no brainer addition. Siren of the Silent Song is interesting as it is a creature that helps with both discard AND mill, so it is a must have, and is even better when Thassa makes it unblockable.
