Luschen Spellslinger

Casual Budget RW (Boros)

NikolaiHamerov

This deck is centered around the main playstyle of Aggro. You want to play spells that can remove opponents chreatures and threats while buffing up your creatures on each cast. With some elements of control through cards like Silverstrike you can often come back "from the dead" and start really dealing damage to your opponents. While some upgrades are recommended, like changing out Shock to Lightning Bolt , it is not needed. After doing some play testing with some other casual focused decks this one easily took the cake.

While I would not recommend this deck specificlly for brand new magic players due to the tempo needed for the deck it is good for those who have had a bit of experience under their belt.

Your biggest threats are Kiln Fiend , Seeker of the Way , and Cathar's Companion who want you to play your instant and sorceries in the deck for large damage. And they are key to your aggro success however if the game starts to go long or you are trying to win off the back foot Silverstrike , Survival Cache , and Student of Ojuti will be able to still reward you with life gain to get you back up to safe levels.

I threw a few one of cards in the deck to add to the spell count and help with other certain situations like creatures too big for you to burn, however I feel like it is a player discretion situation on what cards you want to play.

Ultimately your line of play should be to try and remove your opponent's threats on the board using your removal and other spells and swing in with one of your 14 key creatures mentioned above. And if need be, get those creatures on the board first and then start playing as many of your cheap instant and sorcery spells as you can in a turn to really swing the game in your favor.
