Welcome to the Lovely Rainbow of Slivers! Give my deck a +1 and comment if you think it is missing something!
It's all unity and junk in the sliver hive so I thought, why not make a 5-Color deck all about the new slivers?
Turn 1: Shockland
Turn 2: Manaweft Sliver
Turn 4: Megantic Sliver
Turn 5: Bonescythe Sliver and then swing for game!
first off more shocks and NO duel lands since there wont be any in m14. i would drop the Megantic Sliver and put in 2 more Thorncaster Sliver cuz they are ridiculously amazing. but if your really gun-ho on it, try Collective Blessing instead as enchantments are harder to get rid of. also id drop 2 lands and a Skullcrack for 3 Blur Sliver cuz its pretty much a Fervor on a stick
No buddy lands in m14? Dude, they have been around since m10. I'm pretty sure that it will stay a thing, especially since RTR just got finished. However with that put aside, I like your other suggestions. I will definitely look into it. Also, I was planning on running hive stirrings instead of Frontline Medic , but apparently it isn't within tapped out's servers just yet. Actually, what would you think if I made my sideboard a complete different playstyle to throw others off? I think I'll just make my sideboard populate heavy for sliver tokens.
with Ratchet Bomb coming out, tokens wont see the light of day. Frontline Medic is good to stay since theres no sliver to give indestructible. i would change ur sideboard to be against control and mid range since ur aggro. Boros Charm , Selesnya Charm , and possibly Boros Reckoner would do well in the SB
and the reason dual lands wont be out is cuz wizards wants to slow decks down a bit and doesnt want so many multi colored decks out there. thats what ive been hearing for 2 months, so we shall see.
The RTR Shocklands will still be legal when M14 comes out so those can be kept around. Even the M13 duals will be legal until october so feel free to keep them in for the speed until that time comes. As for the rest of the deck I think It looks pretty good I have a similar one that I need to go back to and add some ratchet bombs into (so broken) Standard Slivers is the one I want to run. You have given me a few ideas for changes already though lol ie. Ratchet bomb and boros charm
Gemhide Sliver is always powerful. Not only does it instantly fix your mana, but also turns your deck into a serious mana-ramp. (I know they didn't technically reprint it but it's the same idea)
Personally, I'm not sure how good Thorncaster Sliver will be. The ability I can see as good, but 5 mana is a lot, especially in a sliver deck and even more so in current standard.
I've been with slivers for a while now, and here's what I can tell you from experience:Slivers build off each other. Getting many slivers into play should be top priority.
A one mana sliver is always worth it, and a two mana sliver should beg the question, "Why not play this?" Even for weak effects, it will get stronger from the strong effects, or enough weak effects will built to make it worth while. At 3 mana, ask "Is this card good enough?" Beyond that, just play for abilities.
is so powerful, if they make any more good blue slivers, definitely put it in. In the early game, it's a one drop sliver. In the late game, it gives everything evasion.
I don't see any Door of Destinies
, Hive Stirrings
, or any Groundshaker Sliver
. You have all those Manaweft Sliver
, You can technically do this:
Turn 1: Forest and Elvish Mystic
Turn 2: Island, Manaweft Sliver , Galerider Sliver
OR: Mountain, Manaweft Sliver , Striking Sliver
Turn 3: Any Land = 6 mana... WIN
