This is a lifegain/STAX deck all about sacrificing creatures to better your board presence and then bringing your creatures back from the graveyard with cards such as Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, Sheoldred, Whispering One or Volrath's Stronghold and the like. It is loosely based off the Ob Nixilis of the Black Oath set up from Commander 2014. This deck was made to gain enough life to outlast aggro players and completely lock the board with combos. Kill all creatures with Grave Pact + Overseer of the Damned , draw a bunch of cards with Bloodghast + Skullclamp , and/or stop all non-black, non-artifact spells with Contamination + Wurmcoil Engine .

THE CREATURES
Bloodghast - low mana cost, easily expendable with his landfall ability, fantastic card draw w/ Skullclamp
Bloodline Keeper - all the flying tokens!
Crypt Ghast - a must for any mono black deck, practically doubles the mana pool
dark imposter - relatively low mana cost, ability helps exile bigger, scarier creatures
Grave Titan - all the non-flying tokens!
Guul Draz Assassin - 1 mana, (-) counters, what's not to love?
It That Betrays - Scary mofo, can be cheated out with Quicksilver Amulet or Deathrender
Massacre Wurm - widdle down your opponent's life by tossing their creatures into the graveyard
Overseer of the Damned - spot removal/token generator
Phyrexian Obliterator - HUGE DETERRENT, nobody will want to swing at you with anything without flying as long as this is on the field
Reaper from the Abyss - Spot Removal..ability triggers almost every turn in EDH
Solemn Simulacrum - card draw + tutor? yes plz.
Wurmcoil Engine - Token generation every time he dies, just bring him back with Sheoldred, Whispering One or the like!

Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief - there's some favoritism here - I do love Drana and her (-) ability. Oh, your creature is indestructible? Not a problem for Drana!
Erebos, God of the Dead - Indestructible + card draw. YES.
Geth, Lord of the Vault - Use your opponent's creatures and artifacts against them!
Kalitas, Bloodchief of Ghet - Swoll token generator, plus spot removal
Kokusho, the Evening Star - sacrifice, graveyard return, repeat
Kozilek, Butcher of Truth - Uncounterable card draw, annihilator, 12/12 for 10...
Mikaeus, the Unhallowed - GIVES EVERYTHING UNDYING
Sheolred, Whispering One - There's a reason she's worth $9
Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon - good for combat, widdle down your oppenents flying creatures with infect counters and then just re-animate Skittles

Liliana of the Dark Realms - the only weakness of this deck is it's low mana pool, now you can just tutor for all of it! Side note, if you pull off the ultimate, you've already won..
Liliana Vess - Mental Vapors + Diabolic Tutor + Rise of the Dark Realms all in one!
Ob Nixilis of the Black Oath - Our beloved Commander - lifegain, tokens, and eventually card draw
Sorin Markov - late game killer, bring your opponents down to 10 live whenever you see fit!

Black Sun's Zenith - Gets past indestructible, high mana cost, can be used more than once
Damnation - Boardwipe
Demonic Tutor - Tutor

Hellfire - Boardwipe to non-black creatures
Profane Command - like Exsanguinate, once you have a lot of mana this card wins games; also very versatile
Promise of Power - Card draw/Swoll Creature

Dark Ritual - one B for BBB
Hero's Downfall - think of it like Doom Blade, just way way better
Malicious Affliction - think of it like Doom Blade, just way better (Deja vu)
Sudden Spoiling - Split second is good for a last line of defense against attacking creatures, also really good when paired with something like Black Sun's Zenith
ENCHANTMENTS AKA MY FAVORITE THINGS
Bitterblossom - The one bad thing about this deck is that it is slow...fix that with a guarenteed flying token every turn!
Black Market - Mana Rock
Bloodchief Ascension - Low mana cost, quickly does sufficient damage to your enemies
Contamination - broken card. broken broken card
Dictate of Erebos/Grave Pact - these two cards are how you win the game with this deck..play a card like Contamination that requires you to sacrifice a creature, or just sacrifice whenever, and kill all of your opponents creatures (side note: sacrificing gets around indestructible)
Exquisite Blood - Easy Lifegain
Necropotence - Basically unlimited card draw as long as you have the life for it
No Mercy - "If you attack me your creature will die"
Phyrexian Arena - Card Draw
Sanguine Bond - Widdle down enemies with your life gain - works well with Ob Nixilus, Whip of Erebos, and Basilisk Collar

Batterskull - Lifegain/living weapon
Basilisk Collar - Deathtouch/Lifelink
Caged Sun/Gilded Lotus/Sol Ring/Thran Dynamo/Worn Powerstone - Mana Rocks - Mana Rocks are always good.
Deathrender/Quicksilver Amulet - Cheat Out all the fatties
Ivory Tower - Lifegain
Lightning Greaves - Low cost, no cost to equip
Sensei's Divining Top - Always get the card you want with Sensei's!
Skullclamp - Attach to weak creatures to get carddraw, works really well with Bloodghast and Bitterblossom
Venser's Journal - Lifegain/Unlimited Handsize, good with Necropotence
Whip of Erebos - GIVE EVERYTHING LIFELINK
