Description

I've been making an edh deck for each color for a while now and this is one of my favourites. the basic plan is obvious; lords + Mistform Ultimus = big bad mega dude >=) it doesn't always win, but its a blast to play, especially when you steal an opponents lord. im trying to think of any lord abilities that I've missed and you'd be helping a lot if you could tell me, as well any constructive criticism is greatly appreciated.

I like Shifting Sliver more than Shadow Sliver personally. (same effect, less cost, and doesn't make it so you can't block)

oh I didn't see the "can only block creatures with shadow" I just thought it was more like flying or horsemanship. shifting sliver will definitely replace it then

They just spoiled a new Lord called Master of the Pearl Trident

:) More lords more fun! +1 for originality here.

My only concern here is that you have little in the ways of protection once stuff hits the table. A WOG or DOJ pretty much ruins you.

Im not a big blue player but I feel there has got to be some way to protect from board wipes or get stuff back... even if its just a little bit :)

Mind Over Matter could cause some nice havoc here. This and Tamiyo's emblem is an infinite.

I'm not a big fan of mind over matter. Unless its in a heavy drawing style deck (such as my niv mizzet deck) I never put it in.

Time Warp and Temporal Mastery might be useful in a beatdown deck like this

July 19, 2012 10:52 p.m.

atreyujames says... #15

i've got a couple temporal mastery's but there all tied up in another deck :P if i get another one it will probably go in this

Dissipation Field is one of my personal favorite blue defense enchantments and I think it would go well in this deck. Besides that comment this deck is amazing . When I saw it and what it does I could only sit back and say "mother of god..." while putting on sunglasses. Then I looked at the incredibly high score and realized it was going to get one point higher with a simple click of my mouse.

Really digging this deck I think it could be really fun to play, maybe consider a Cryptic Gateway to get creatures out faster.

December 18, 2012 9:54 p.m.

atreyujames says... #19

the problem with the gate is that 3 creatures all need to share a type. thats not very common with this deck, there are so many different types of creatures

I don't know, You have 18/38 (47.4%) Merfolk 14/38 (36.8%) Wizard and 10/38 (26.3%) Soldier. Most of those over lap and none include your general. I'd say you have a pretty good chance to pull it off.

January 29, 2013 1:43 p.m.

atreyujames says... #25

Ya you were right I had a high enough number of wizards, merfolk and changelings and its been helping me bring out lords faster.

How About Scion of Oona?

I would add Pili-Pala since you have the other half of the combo. Rogue's Passage might be helpful to push damage threw

Grand Architect + Pili-Pala makes infinite mana and untaps for Wake Thrasher
