Earth is Getting Revenge - Omnath, Locus of Rage

Commander / EDH* Casual RG (Gruul) Theme/Gimmick

Sideboard

Lands can be creatures. That means the land can kill you. Why not say you can win by a landslide?

Your lands and access of them are everything in this deck. Cards like Groundskeeper and Tilling Treefolk will allow you to recycle the ones that you can sac for benefit, such as Field of Ruin and Gargoyle Castle, and allows you to reap card revenue from Forgotten Cave without giving up the land for good.

You should be aiming to spring them on your enemy as a surprise when you can. That said, animating one of them here and there as blockers is very useful and allows you to soak up damage with creatures you can just keep bringing back. In the long run, one way or another, your huge amounts of mana can easily be the deciding factor of a game. Omnath, Locus of Mana will turn all of your huge mana sources like Karametra's Acolyte and Gaea's Cradle into huge amounts of damage. I am considering making him the general instead, but I think beating the enemy to death with your lands is a more unconventional means of victory.

Removal

This deck is very able to deal with artifacts and enchantments. It suffers most from big boardwipes and land destruction in bulk. Losing a land here and there is small potatoes, but if you lose all your lands at once, to Myojin of Infinite Rage, for example, you are thoroughly boned. Timber Protector and Heroic Intervention are in the deck for this reason. Most creatures it is able to deal with via conventional means, but unblockables and indestructables can also make it struggle.

Potential Kill Cards

Sylvan Advocate has to potential to spell doom for the enemy if you hold onto it until you have 6-7 lands in play. Don't be afraid to cast it earlier if it's all you have, but hold onto it when you can. To kill with this one you need something else to animate your lands though, however.

Budoka Gardener / Dokai, Weaver of Life can easily spell doom for the enemy if you are allowed to build up your landscape. Preferably you want to swing with 2 tokens of his, but one is often good enough.

Nissa, Vastwood Seer   / Nissa, Sage Animist can ruin the game for everyone else if they let you get enough loyalty counters on her, but do NOT rely on it. 9 times out of 10 they will just kill her with spot removal.

Omnath, Locus of Mana, as mentioned above, is a huge threat once you have any of your mana engines in play, and you will eventually have a lot of them if someone doesn't stop you.

Embodiment of Fury and Embodiment of Insight can make it possible to chunk your enemies everyone turn, and if you cast your general Omnath, Locus of Rage, they will ruin the opponents' day.

Titania, Protector of Argoth falls into the same category as your general- she's a beatstick generator. She can potentially make the loss of lands from combat completely mute.

Liege of the Tangle is just a huge middle finger to the enemy. If you have any amount of lands worth mentioning, this card will win you the game most of the time you play it.

Rubblehulk is a card you will be mostly using for its bloodrush ability unless you are struggling to get enough creatures out.

Ulvenwald Hydra is both an enormous beatstick and mana fetch.
