List of EDH Ramp Cards

Commander / EDH*

Epochalyptik Score: 35

This is a list of important EDH ramp cards.

Ramp allows a deck access to more mana earlier in the game. Although most ramp effects are in green, there is a considerable amount of artifact-based ramp.

Please remember to check that the card you're suggesting is not already in the list.

Aphetto Alchemist and Voltaic Key can count as ramp options IMO.

Hunting Wilds and Ranger's Path are about on par with Explosive Vegetation and Skyshroud Claim, into play tapped like the former but grabbing dual lands like the latter.

Gift of Estates might not be quite up to the likes of Tithe and Land Tax, but hey, it's not green and it grabs nonbasics. Thought it might be worth a mention.

keyrunes? I think they are reasonable ramps and helpful as creatures for some

Not sure if this is an oversight - but Nissa, Worldwaker

Jeweled Amulet is pretty sweet as one of a very short list of cards that can play 3-mana commanders on turn 2 (at least the non-green ones).

Walking Atlas is technically ramp too, I guess.

Peregrination isn't fantastic but should be on the list

I think it might be good to add the Banner cycle of cards from Khans of Tarkir to this list, as they are pretty much the same as the Obelisks but for the clan colors.

Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary should be removed as it is now uber banned (even though it's been banned the last year or so. People need to be updated, I still find a few every so often lurking about.)

Expedition Map, Crop Rotation, Ur-Golem's Eye, all the medallions, cluestones, diamonds and keyrunes. All the different elves that provide mana when tapped, Sarkhan Unbroken, Selvala, Explorer Returned, Courser of Kruphix, Endless Horizons which is awesome, Omnath, Locus of Mana

I would suggest adding Doubling Cube. Also, seeing that you have included Heartbeat of Spring, I would suggest adding Rites of Flourishing and Dictate of Karametra.

Where is Crop Rotation? Instantly get any land onto the battlefield untaped for . No doubt the #1 best land fetch in Commander.

There are a few others worth mentioning, too:

  • Primal Growth routinely gets overlooked, and I have no idea why. This is an incredible ramp card! At worst its a Rampant Growth for , but at best, its a Harrow at sorcery speed, except losing a creature instead of a land. (Yes, everything is still untapped.)

  • Caravan Vigil is amazing for . Either puts a basic land into your hand, or if a creature died, no big deal. After combat, put a land onto the battlefield untapped.

The slivers that tap for mana, though not necessarily necessary for edh, are necessary for any edh sliver deck.

I feel like Hedron Archive and Everflowing Chalice should be on this list.
