I got back into Magic: the Gathering about a year ago and bought the Ob Nixilis of the Black Oath precon deck to play with friends. I have been gradually upgrading the deck since then, and have largely settled on the Aristocrats theme built into the deck.

Finding a suitable commander for the deck has been difficult. A lot of the sacrifice-enabler commanders (Endrek Sahr, Sidisi, Gisa) all have too high of a CMC for my playstyle. I grew used to playing with Ob Nicky, who has since proven to be sub-optimal. Ultimately, Liliana, Heretical Healer   has proven to be my preferred commander. She is easily brought online by sacrifice, and she has an awesome kit for make those sacrifices worthwhile.

More to come as I continue upgrading and crafting this deck.
