This deck has a very clear goal: counter and burn everything until I have something big enough to kill the opponent with. It is based off Blue-Red Control a deck that did well in standard.

Counters: Counterflux, Dissipate, Dissolve, Essence Scatter, Jace, Unraveler of Secrets, Mystic Confluence, Negate, Overwhelming Denial, and Revolutionary Rebuff.

Burn: Exquisite Firecraft, Mizzium Mortars, Ral Zarek, Lightning Strike, and Chain Reaction.

Temporary Removal: Cyclonic Rift, Jace, Unraveler of Secrets, Mystic Confluence, Sleep, Baral's Expertiseand Unsummon.

Card Draw: Preordain, Mystic Confluence, Jace, Unraveler of Secrets, Faithless Looting, Dissolve, Brainstorm, and Anticipate.

"Gearhulk": Charmbreaker Devils, Sphinx of the Final Word, Sphinx of Magosi, and Thing in the Ice  .

Spell Synergy: Goblin Electromancer, Talrand, Sky Summoner, and Young Pyromancer.
