Life Tax (Modern MTG Deck)

The idea of the deck is to slowly bleed your opponent not allowing them to hurt you without taking damage while taking damage for not attacking you. The problem being that most of the necessary spells are expensive. To fix this there is added mana fixing to cast multiple enchantments later or one enchantment early. The big problems this deck could face is one the mana fixing and two decks that focus less on creatures. It is important to note that when playing this deck DO NOT KILL CREATURES. The Lightning Bolt is for hit your opponent for more damage to keep pressure on him, and when you cast STAB WOUNDS make sure that you are doing it on a creature you will not kill. You might think it is necessary to kill a creature that is going to hurt you, but if that is the case what you need to do is play Hissing Miasma or Pillory of the Sleepless. If it is an ability that is hurting you then what you need to play is One Thousand Lashes. If you are nervous because they have a bunch of tokens or a huge amount of creatures remember Hissing Miasma play another one and you will be fine.
