The idea behind this deck is to flip Chalice of Life   as soon as possible. This is done using Soul Warden, Soul's Attendant, Martyr of Sands and other 1CMC creatures to spam out lifegain. The finishers are then:

• Chalice of Death  
• Chalice of Death   + Exquisite Blood
• Chalice of Death   + Exquisite Blood + Vizkopa Guildmage (Infinite)
• Ajani's Pridemate + Gift of Orzhova for a backup win condition

Ideal Setup:

• Turn 1: Plains + Martyr of Sands
• Turn 2: Plains + Soul Warden // Soul's Attendant + Sacrifice Martyr
• Turn 3: Plains + Chalice of Life   + Flip Chalice
• Turn 4: Plains + ...
• Turn 5: Swamp + Exquisite Blood
• ...

When the offensive isn't needed as much 3x Ajani's Pridemate s can be swapped out for 3x Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendants.

Budget Alternatives:

If you are willing to go slightly over budget but not as far as Life Steal then make the following changes:

• -3x Ajani's Pridemate
  • +3x Serra Ascendant
• -2x Gift of Orzhova
  • +2x Cathedral Sanctifier

On another note, Rhox Faithmender , Serra Ascendant, Felidar Sovereign and Sorin, Lord of Innistrad would also make great additions but check the non-budget version of this deck for details
