Overview

The obvious theme of this deck is lifegain. It attempts to put together a massive combo to attack the opponents life total directly in one massive hit. It does not play like a "typical" deck by attacking/blocking with creatures. The synergy of the deck allows for many different ways to combo out a win condition which makes it fun to play as no two games will be the same.

Card Draw

There is a lot of card draw in this deck because it needs to find a combo in order to win. Well of Lost Dreams can give you a minimum of 2 extra cards a turn with Oloro's lifegain. A lot of the card draw is based on spending life because if you're playing correctly you should have plenty of it to spare. You can also sac Children of Korlis after playing Necrolgia to draw out most of your deck for free. Ponder Brainstorm and Lim-Dul's Vault let you get to the cards you need while getting rid of ones you don't. There are plenty of tutors as well to get to specific cards directly and with so many different ways to combo out you won't be going for the same card everytime. Doomsday is also really fun to play as losing half your life usually isn't a big deal.

Life Killing Combos

This deck is all about finding a combo to drain your opponent's entire life total in one big shot. You usually won't try to do any damage until you're going for the win because whether your opponent has 30 life or 40 won't matter when you make your big hit. Here's a list of some ways this deck puts together a win condition but there's definitely more.

So many possibilities.

Protection

The only downside to putting together life drain combos without using creatures to attack is that you don't have creatures to block. That's where the second part of this deck comes in. This deck blocks by preventing damage with cards like Awe Strike and Force Bubble. It also tries to make you an undesirable target with cards like Serene Master and High Priest of Penance. You're also gaining a minimum of 2 life every turn so a lot of small attacks aren't going to bother you very much. You want to try and keep your life total high because many of the winning combos rely on it. However even with these cards the deck can be a bit vulnerable which is why there is plenty of removal and counterspells.

Conclusion

A very fun deck to play that's definitely outside the norm. It's also not super expensive to put together but can still compete very well. Always looking to make it better so feel free to make suggestions. Thanks for looking!

Updates Add

Made a lot of updates to the deck and it's functioning how I want it to. Added some tutors to speed up the process of it being a combo deck. Added some counterspells to protect my combo pieces and some good removal as well.
