Hi Everybody, this is my take on Licia, Sanguine Tribune

As I didn't really enjoyed Mathas, Fiend Seeker (Less fun to use on politics compared to Queen Marchesa and Edgar Markov (Don't like the tribal decks and honestly totally overpowered)… I decided to try this buddy. As i love blue and control, I finally find very interesting to play this deck as a midrange version of the vampiric commander 17 pack.

First of all, remember Licia, Sanguine Tribune is quite expensive, but also strong. 1) She have Lifelink, 2) can grow fast 3) hit before many creatures due to first strike. So basically, it will provides you a huge quantity of life points… And everybody remember that in Magic, life is a resource as important as mana.

As you might see it, the deck is more an Orzhov deck with red splash. This can add some good support and preventive tools for the game as Vandalblast , Dreadbore , Boros Charm and Crackling Doom . It also permit to put very funny yet efficient finishers like Mob Rule , Deflecting Palm or Rakdos's Return if you want to add it.

The main core of the pack will now consist to cast Licia, Sanguine Tribune earlier and easier by gaining life each turn. Something quite simple with black and white.

1) Gain Life : DURING YOUR TURN By using lifelink creatures as Vampire Nighthawk , the excelent Aerial Responder , Blood Baron of Vizkopa or the underrated Gifted Aetherborn . Also use very cheap but effective cards as Chaplain's Blessing or the Extort ability if you play multiplayer games. Don't forget the really good Augur il-Vec too.

2) Cast Licia, Sanguine Tribune , protect her with boots Swiftfoot Boots and swords Sword of Feast and Famine , Sword of War and Peace and make it hit hard using some useful harry potter's style equipements Whispersilk Cloak .

3) Use your life points Money to control the board with Vona, Butcher of Magan , protect yourself with Bitterblossom or to make your hand great again with Necropotence & Dark Confidant .

4) Finish it all with Mob Rule , Debt to the Deathless , Vizkopa Guildmage or Sanguine Bond … But trust me, using Rogue's Passage with Licia won't let your opponents see theses cards… LOL
