Dragons!

I like splashy, dumb plays, and dragons are pretty splashy and dumb.

The Deck as it Is Now

This deck is one of my favourites to play. The basic plan is to put dragons in your graveyard and bring them back, so Buried Alive is the real lynchpin of the deck, and the best tutor target in just about every situation. The three to normally bury are Scourge of Valkas, Utvara Hellkite and Dragonlord Kolaghan. Bringing them all back at the same time (with Patriarch's Bidding, Balthor the Defiled or some other mass reanimation spell) gets you 3 Scourge of Valkas triggers of 3 damage each = 9 damage. They all have haste because of Dragonlord Kolaghan. They all attack, triggering Utvara Hellkite's ability three times and making three dragon tokens, so Scourge gets 3 triggers of 6 damage each = 18 damage (27 including the previous 9). Then we get to actual combat damage, which is 16: 4 from Scourge, 6 from Kolaghan, 6 from Utvara Hellkite. Add it up, and you get one dead opponent, with the ability to easily knock down one or two on your next turn.

Another combo (which I don't usually go for because it's less splashy and fun) involves Bladewing the Risen himself, plus Twinflame or Heat Shimmer and Scourge of Valkas or Dragon Tempest. You make a token copy of Bladewing and sacrifice the original Bladewing as an SBA. The token's ETB triggers, bringing back the original Bladewing, and the cycle continues forever, shooting our opponents to death with the Storm or Scourge. It's the same principle as the Disciple of the Vault + Sculpting Steel + Sharuum the Hegemon combo you may have seen before.

The third plan is using Hellkite Charger or Aggravated Assault with Sword of Feast and Famine to get infinite combat steps. This one is a bit harder to pull off, especially with the Charger. This deck can get to seven mana just fine, but a lot of it will be in artifacts, which the Sword doesn't care about.

Recent Changes (Nov 25, 2017)

Thunderbreak Regent --> Vial Smasher the Fierce: Thunderbreak Regent was in the deck mostly as an early game body, but it had very little impact as three damage is barely a deterrent and it does nothing against mass removal. I bought the Yidris precon and Vial Smasher was lying in my binder for ages doing nothing, and I figured she'd be decent in this deck simply because of its high curve.

Temple of the False God --> Geier Reach Sanitarium: Temple of the False God is really frustrating in the opening hand. Sanitarium helps us dig and fill up the graveyard. Seems like an obvious improvement.

Earthquake --> Sign in Blood: I threw an extra Sign in Blood in the deck for more draw power. Earthquake was the least-played wipe in the deck so I cut it, but I'd still like some non-flying damage spells. I might replace it with a Tormenting Voice or Cathartic Reunion.

Worn Powerstone --> Millikin: A graveyard filler that adds mana! Worn Powerstone isn't a bad card, but it was a little slow.
