~This is the end
Hold your breath and count to ten
Feel the earth move and then
Hear my heart burst again
For this is the end
I’ve drowned and dreamt this moment
So overdue I owe them
Swept away, I’m stolen
Let the landfall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
Face it all together
Let the landfall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
Face it all together
At landfall
At landfall~
So the idea of this deck is basically getting a ton of lands to buff your creatures and unbuff your opponent's life.
Baloth Woodcrasher is a monster when you put down a single land. That's a fact. But when you get 3 or 4, then it basically becomes apocalypse incarnated. All you need is Nissa's Renewal and a land in your hand to make it a 20/20 trampling behemo... I mean, Baloth.
Grove Rumbler is the cheaper and weaker cousin, but he gets the job done and works exceptionally well if the whole family is gathered.
Makindi Sliderunner, being the second cousin removed from the family, tries to get early in the game to punish whoever stands in its path... As long you keep the land flowing, that is.
Jaddi Offshoot is how we hold on to our own life. Avoiding early attackers and giving some extra life points for when we need it. If you can get more than one on the battlefield and begin playing a bunch of lands, they become much more useful too.
Mina and Denn, Wildborn make this thing work even if we have played all our lands. Yeah, they're much better when you can use them before you have 22 lands on the battlefield, but you never know. Better be prepared. Their ability allows us to play 2 lands each turn, so you can get rid of anything you might have on your hand and still can help Scute Mob and Vinelasher Kudzu, in case they find an ant in their way and decide to stop their charge just to stomp it with all their might.
Oran-Rief Hydra is a beautiful hydra in this deck because you can feed it all your lands and watch it grow and grow. I don't think it's necessary to say you should start looking just for forests once you have it on the battlefield - because you need to eat greens to become strong.
Scute Mob is a cute, dangerous and ever growing army of bugs once you have enough lands on play. No Raid can get hid of it. Even the plague control center got swallowed.
Vinelasher Kudzu becomes the creature your opponents will want to keep an eye on - that is if they have 22 and are counting how big your creatures can get. It grows and they hate it. Save the planet, plant Vinelashers.
Everything else in the deck is based on getting lands on the battlefield - which will hopefully works.
Blighted Woodland is a land that's actually a disguised Explosive Vegetation
Evolving Wilds and Terramorphic Expanse are a cheap Rampant Growth
By using these you actually activate the landfall abilities a few times while spending less mana. You can even get them on the battlefield and wait until your Baloth Woodcrasher is in play and ready to fire.
I'm savinng a bunch of cards on the Maybe board because I'm not sure if they are really good in the deck or if they'll get in the way. If you have any suggestions, they are welcomed.
