Creature (1)

My pet tribe is elementals, but while more popular and powerful with recent additions, still far from the best tribe.

Horde of notions EDH with a focus on sac/recursion for etb effects. The deck is elemental tribal, with the exception of Kaheera, the Orphanguard as a useful companion.

Some strange looking choices might do with explaining. because of the tutors I have in the deck, an elemental that is a sac outlet is great. Seething Pathblazer can be tutored for by Flamekin Harbinger, Birthing Pod, Bring to Light and Wargate and can be reanimated by Horde and Necromancy. Offalsnout is largely worse than cards like Extirpate and Surgical Extraction but is an elemental with flash, providing some additional utility for recurability, chump blocks, and interaction with various sac outlets in the deck, plus Risen Reef.

I was lucky enough to trade for/ pull a decent number of my shocks/fetches, but for a more affordable land base, and more ideas, I suggest TheHorgle's I've had Notions deck which was very helpful for the creation of mine.

The deck has an infinite combo, recurring Avenger of Zendikar with Phyrexian Altar with 5+ lands in play for infinite mana and infinite plants. The deck can win through that, beat down, mill with Altar of Dementia or Omnath, Locus of Rage burn.

The deck is consistently decently powerful and plays a fairly varied game, with tutors grabbing value engines far more often than combo pieces. Although Horde of Notions is generally used to generate advantage enough to win with cards like Avenger of Zendikar, the deck can now perform fairly well through mid game without him.

After adding the 5 reprinted fetches, I find myself in need of more lifegain. Omnath, Locus of Creation is an absurd peripheral source of lifegain. For extra fetchland recursion Life from the Loam replacing Buried Alive. Life from the Loam is definitely worth the card slot, as it guarantees land drops, and interacts with Omnath, Locus of Rage, Omnath, Locus of Creation, Avenger of Zendikar and Titania, Protector of Argoth. Additionally, with 36 lands and 23 elementals, nearly 3/5ths of the deck is a good mill off of the loam dredge.

Updates Add

The one click delete button on updates is frustrating... Swapped in NEO lands for extra versatility in mana base, swapped out some ZNR mDFCs.

12JUN2022: Kindred Discovery in for Phylath, the World Sculptor.

14SEP2022: Shadow Prophecy in for Valakut Awakening  Flip. I've found valakut awakening lacking too often. Shadow prophecy is card advantage at instant speed that can also put up to 3 cards into my GY.

16SEP2022: Rescuer Chwinga in for Diabolic Intent. While a weird choice, the deck often lacks board presence when it is struggling, and rescuer chwinga can protect a relevant creature, reuse an etb, and/or just be another creature for the deck in general.

14FEB2023: Conduit of Worlds in for Crucible of Worlds. Conduit has a pretty impressive upside.
