Lazav doesn't play with his own toys. He plays with yours.

The Goals

We want to do what our opponents are doing, but just the best things. The majority of what we want, we are going to take from the graveyard, with bits and pieces of on board copying.

Mill We've got to get stuff into the opponents graveyards in order to take it, so how will we do that?

We have a few passive ways:

• Mindcrank will convert any damage, including opponents hitting each other into mill.
• Hedron Crab, Fraying Sanity, Psychic Corrosion, and Sphynx's Tutelage will all mill opponents while we just keep playing normally.
• Once we get a Consuming Aberration out, any spell we cast will burn through an average of 3 cards each.

Targeted Mill:

• Fleet Swallower and Traumatize are huge bombs. They cause grumbles, just because they take so long to resolve, but they're too good.
• Jace's Archivist and Windfall will cycle the entire tables hands.
• Small chips, but they add up and all have their own benefits. Nephalia Drownyard, Extract from Darkness, Pilfered Plans, Grisly Spectacle, and Psychic Strike.
• Jace, Memory Adept is 10 cards a turn. Nothing to scoff at.
• Mind Funeral is shockingly strong. Get late game and Mind Grind can dump an entire library into the graveyard.
• Phenax, God of Deception is an absolute monster. Turns our big creatures into bigger creatures that also mill you.

"Borrowing" things Now that there's stuff in graveyards, lets take it!

• Body Double, Dimir Doppelganger, Sepulchral Primordial, Animate Dead, Extract from Darkness will all pull creatures out of graveyards. My favorite part is we don't have any majorly broken ETB triggers in our deck. So if we take it from the opponents, it's their own fault.
• Command the Dreadhorde and Liliana Vess ult are absolute blowouts.
• We're also taking their spells! Diluvian Primordial, Mnemonic Betrayal, Spelltwine, and Memory Plunder will pluck their instant's and sorceries!

Living Copies Sometimes the opponents will get something nice on the battlefield. We also want those.

• Evil Twin copies and removes.
• Faerie Artisans copies all opponents creatures, one at a time as they come in. We may want to kill them if they have something good out that we don't want replaced.
• Phyrexian Metamorph and Mirage Mirror can also hit artifacts. Vizier of Many Faces is re-usable.

Cares About Death We've got a few cards that care a lot about what is in, or going into graveyards.

• Lazav, Dimir Mastermind gets the option to copy anything as its entering a graveyard. Doesn't matter if its being killed or milled, he can clone it, and he retains hexproof as the clone!
• Duskmantle Guildmage can burn someone for a LOT of damage with his first ability.
• Bloodchief Ascension will end games if it reaches max charges and doesn't get removed.
• We also have a handful of creatures that get bigger the more stuff is in graveyards. Bonehoard, Consuming Aberration, Mortivore, Nighthowler, The Haunt of Hightower, and Wight of Precinct Six all get bigger the longer the game goes. Pair any of them with Phenax, God of Deception and get ready for pain.

Mana! When we copy something with abilities, we want to be able to use those abilities.

• Exotic Orchard, Reflecting Pool paired with the orchard, Fellwar Stone, and Gilded Lotus let us generate mana of the opponents colors, so we can use their creature abilties.
