Lazav, Dimir Mastermind

Commander / EDH* UB (Dimir)

Snarwin

Roughly speaking, there are two ways to win with this deck:

  1. The clone-and-steal plan.

This is the main one. Using either Lazav himself, or cards like Sepulchral Primordial , Geth, Lord of the Vault , and Rise of the Dark Realms , we can turn our opponents' win conditions against them!

Since fueling this plan involves filling our opponents' graveyards, we've got plenty of graveyard hate too: Withered Wretch , Nihil Spellbomb , and of course Bojuka Bog will make sure the Golgari player at your table doesn't get too out of hand.

  2. The commander damage plan.

Suit Lazav up with Sword of Light and Shadow or Sword of Body and Mind and smash away. Transforming Lazav into something big, flying, and trample-y helps a lot, but isn't strictly necessary. Rogue's Passage lets you sneak in for the last few points.

Tying it all together is a classic blue-black control shell, with favorites like Fact or Fiction , Counterspell , Decree of Pain , and Cyclonic Rift .
