Ambassador Laquatus is generally a pretty terrible card for most formats, even commander in many cases. Training Grounds is one of the biggest cards that makes his job easier, though building around that combo in mono-blue EDH is difficult. That's why I've done a thing here in modern with the two cards, as well as some mean infinite mana combos, to make this mill deck a bit easier. We're running 2 dizzy spell as our only tutor for Training Grounds, as Laquatus can make do without it, should you have infinite mana, which can be done a couple of ways. The first way is Grand Architect + Pili-Pala , which is a pretty commmon one. Another infinite mana combo that is key here is Bloom Tender + Freed from the Real , something easily achievable as there is no need to attack for this to work. Drift of Phantasms is a powerful tutor in this deck, being 3 of our important combo pieces are 3 drops.
