In this group hug deck, I help out all my friends while engaging the group in shenanigans. This is mostly an edit to the pre-con C16 deck, and this is a deck I own in paper.

EDH is, first and foremost, a casual format. This deck was created with the intent to generate maximum fun from all it's players. This deck doesn't run any real win conditions (although a few may be set up if so desired). The goal of this deck to create board states that were never meant to happen and have your friends go "wait, what happened?"
Hedron Alignment. Yes, I'm serious. As long as your local playgroup is okay with wishboards, it's possible.(In my group, anything goes as long as it's not a banned card or out of color.) Cast Research, add 3 copies of Hedron Alignment and 1 of anything else (typically another Research to increase your odds). Then crunch through your deck until you can pull out all 4 and place them in the appropriate places. Send the graveyard by discarding it or destroying it and exile it using Sylvan Reclamation. Upkeep trigger, reveal hand, win! Increase your chances by taking infinite turns (see Combos and Interactions).
With so many of our spells cost upwards of 8 mana, it's important we can get out enough mana to cast them.
  • Collective Voyage: This is a card that can great stupid games. If everyone dumps their mana into this, any player in the game should be reasonably able to cast anything in their deck.

  • Cultivate + Kodama's Reach : Excellent at both fixing and ramp, especially since we're trying to cast a 4-color commander.

  • Myriad Landscape: While not necessarily great early game for getting out the commander, it can come clutch when you need or for a big spell.

  • Sol Ring: Come on, it's Sol Ring.

  • Tempt with Discovery: Bait your opponents into letting you ramp. Should be used carefully, as a very valuable land search from the opponent can be game ending sometimes.

  • Veteran Explorer: Insanely good card, since just about any opponent will be willing to let you suicide it into one of their creatures.

It's time for everyone to have some fun.

-Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis: The Commander themselves, the generosity of a free card draw and/or land drop is something to be admired.

  • Collective Voyage: Everyone dumps in their mana, everyone gets out all their lands! There's always that one grumpleton who doesn't put any mana in, though >:(

  • Edric, Spymaster of Trest: Dissuades opponents from attacking you, and can give you some card advantage if you're got a creature lying around.

  • Ghirapur Orrery: Free land drops for all! Gives an added bonus to any players who run out of steam quickly (including yourself).

  • Howling Mine: Everyone likes card draw, right?

  • Kami of the Crescent Moon: Everyone likes card draw, right?

  • Ludevic, Necro-Alchemist: Kind of like an Edric lite.

  • Minds Aglow: Similar to Collective Voyage, players who've been topdecking all game can't help but put some mana in. Be wary of combo players when playing this card.

  • Rites of Flourishing: Everyone like card draw. right? Like a Mine and a Orrery all in one.

  • Selvala, Explorer Returned: Who cares that you just got 3 mana when it means they don't topdeck a land next turn?

  • Tempting Wurm: Once this hits the board, chaos ensues. All the opponents' permanents will likely hit the board. On my first game of this deck, I played this turn 2 and my opponent won turn 3 because of his Felidar Sovereign.

  • Zhur-Taa Ancient: Double mana. Enough said. Note that bad things tend to happen once this guy hits the field.

If your allies go rouge, you're going to need some protection.

-Ghostly Prison: Attack tax.

Problems don't just solve themselves.

-Beast Within: The beast it creates probably wasn't as bad as whatever you destroyed.

-May the nonsense ensue!

-Confusion in the Ranks: The Token Gen player wins.

  • Dovescape: Birds! Birds everywhere! The question is, who can create more birds?

  • Dual Nature: Double creatures! Can get out of hand fast for decks that use ETB triggers.

  • Eye of the Storm: Turns last 15 minutes at a time while the entire room tries to figure out how the stack resolves.

  • Grip of Chaos: In some instances this is basically hexproof. Other instances it's infuriating.

  • Hive Mind: What's yours is mine. And his. And hers. And...

  • Mirrorweave: Suddenly, everything's a bird! Can be a board wipe if a creature like Hangarback Walker is on the board.

  • Permeating Mass: My favorite card from Eldrich Moon, he's here and ready to permeate.

  • Possibility Storm: Oh, you though you were going to cast Craterhoof Behemoth, but actually, you just wanted to spend 8 mana on an Elvish Mystic.

  • Reverse the Sands: The ultimate politics card. Also puts the lifegain player in check.

  • Thieves' Auction: Collect the valuable cards quick before they're gone! Makes the game go on for an extra hour if Hive Mind is on the board.

  • Unexpected Results: It grants unexpected results.

  • Warp World: How to make one opponent chosen at random way overpowered compared to the rest. Extends the game another hour if Hive Mind is out.

Cards that add to the deck, some are integral to what I want the deck to do, while others are very flexible and could probably be removed.

-Dig Through Time: Just an incredibly useful card, as it digs through 1/10th of your library for 2 useful cards.

Notable card interactions I thought should be mentioned.

-Confusion in the Ranks + Endless Swarm: You will inevitably gain control of all non-snake creaures (unless of course, you have an opponent running token gen). A similar effect will occur with Dovescape, but obviously only your opponents will gain this "benefit".

  • Dovescape + Eye of the Storm : More birds will be created than you ever thought possible.

  • Dovescape + Hive Mind : Your Final Fortune gets countered, while your opponents all copy it and lose at the end of their extra turns.

  • Eye of the Storm + Hive Mind : An insane amount of instants and sorceries will be created. Since each spell that is copied is also cast, Hive Mind will copy each of them. The interaction between the two also creates an interesting loophole. If you cast a card such as Final Fortune or Endless Swarm, the spell will be copied for each opponent, and then placed underneath Eye of the Storm. And because each spell exiled with Eye of the Storm may be cast, you do not have to re-cast the spell you cast. This results in each player losing after each of their extra turns (Final Fortune) or them being unable to cast any other spells for the rest of the game (epic cards).

  • Eye of the Storm + Possibility Storm: See an instant or sorcery you Time Stretch Send it away for ever maybe! Because you control both the Eye of the Storm trigger and the Possibility Storm trigger, you can choose which order to resolve them. By resolving the Possibility Storm trigger first, you essentially put the unwanted card on the bottom of its owner's library. The when you go to resolve the Eye of the Storm trigger, the card cannot go into Eye of the Storm because it has already been moved to the library by Possibility Storm (the rest of the Eye of the Storm trigger still resolves, of course). Possibility Storm also has the quirk of inevitably triggering Eye of the Storm twice (once of the instant/sorcery cast from the hand, and once from the spell that Possibility Storm cascades into).

  • Enduring Ideal: Casting this can be a lot of fun if no one does any field-wide disruption. The first card you search for will probably be Paradox Haze to trigger your copies twice per turn. Then it's your choice from there on out. I personally like to bubble for a couple turns with cards like Ghostly Prison and Grip of Chaos (a substitution for genuine hexproof at the moment), before going all out and putting down Hive Mind and Possibility Storm. If you include cards like Oblivion Ring and Seal of Cleansing in the deck, you can use Enduring Ideal to win using Hedron Alignment post-Research.

  • Eye of the Storm + Isochron Scepter : Although it's not a combo, I'm including this for clarification purposes. Copying a card using Isochron Scepter does not trigger Eye of the Storm. Eye of the Storm reads "Whenever a player casts an instant or sorcery card." Because Isochron Scepter casts a copy of the exiled card (rather than the card itself), the copy it casts doesn't trigger Eye of the Storm.

  • Isochron Scepter + Final Fortune + Sundial of the Infinite: Infinite turns. At this point, you should be able to win using Hedron Alignment by adding extra copies into the deck with the Research you will eventually draw into.

  • Hive Mind + Possibility Storm : Yes, this will trigger twice with Instants and Sorceries. A Final Fortune cast from hand can spell the end for your opponents.

Not all cards are meant for the deck.

-Goblin Game: Despite loving the revelry that comes with cards like Warp World and Thieves' Auction, the physical interaction with out-of-game objects is something I'm not a fan of. Feel free to include it in your build of this deck, but it's not for me.

  • Endless Whispers: While there are some great black cards out there for chaotic games, they aren't enough to make it worth running Karona, the False God over Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis as far as I'm concerned. Kynaios is geared more for a group-hug experience, a deck type i feel works better in this instance.

  • Tundra: This is first and foremost my personal deck, and therefore cannot afford to spend such egregious amounts of money on it. That doesn't mean I won't take any recommendations of this nature seriously, however. I might consider building an "optimal build" in the future (but obviously not in paper lol).

Thanks for looking at my build of Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis :) If you have any suggestions or recommendations, let me know and I'll consider it for my next build of the deck.
