The Commanders

- Kydele, Chosen of Kruphix

- Ikra Shidiqi, the Usurper

I chose Kydele because she can generate infinite colourless mana with the main combos running in the deck. Sidiqi give us access to black and seemed to offer the best benefits of the partnered commanders in this colour scheme.

Lands

A fast mana base, with no tap lands meaning we can play out our spells as quickly as possible.

Ramp

We’re running 9 ramp cards in the deck, I would usually go with 10 but as the commander is ramp on a stick I didn’t feel the need to go for 10. We’re running a few mana rocks&dorks along with a few cards that synergise with our discard shenanigans. Bog Witch & Skirge Familiar & Bone Miser allow us to add a decent amount of black mana along with Dreamscape Artist switching on a lot our discard synergies too.

Discard outlets.

We’re using a bunch of different cards and abilities to help us discard our hand.

- Manabond let’s us bin our hand ever turn if we need too, we have a lot of ways to get good draw back so this could be strong early game to ramp out.

- Dawnstrider could protect us if someone swings our way, a good political tool to keep our life total high, swing at me? No combat damage, swing at someone else and I’ll let it connect.

- Dream Halls is a good way for us to dump a lot of cards to trigger our discard synergies and madness outlets and whilst being extremely overpowered on it’s own. -hightened awareness would optimally be cast with a low hand size, allowing us to pick up two cards at the beginning of our upkeep.

- Llanowar Mentor switches on the discard synergies, gums up the board, helps with ramp and is a madness outlet.

- Nezahal, Primal Tide is a big beater, a madness and discard outlet and protects itself. It can also be cast very cheaply with Dream Halls

- Fauna Shaman is a tutor and discard outlet which synergies very well with this list

- Turbulent Dreams could be as good as cyclonic rift for us, if not better, given the fact we have multiple ways to play spells at instant speed and it’s a madness outlet that takes up a lot less mana. - Mind Over Matter will win us the game, but I’ll cover that later.

Madness / Discard triggers

The madness cards in this deck have been selected as they all can be useful, - Big Game Hunter could stop a big threat if pointed at us.

- Circular Logic is a solid counter spell, it will be very hard for people to pay the cost to counter it as a yard will (hopefully) be very big.

- From Under the Floorboards could gum up the board for us at instant speed, which would be useful, using mana from Kydele it could create a horrendous amount of zombies.

- Grave Scrabbler could get us a useful piece back.

Welcome to the Fold would be a good use of mana created by Kydele

Win Conditions

- Mind Over Matter + Arcanis the Omnipotent will win the game for us. We tap the wizard to draw 3 and discard one of them to mind over matter to untap the wizard and draw 3 more, we can do this infinitely to draw the deck. Each time we discard that will trigger our discard synergy cards listed in the section above. We’re running Laboratory Maniac and Jace, Wielder of Mysteries for an alt Win con and we’re also running the eldrazi titans to but our yard back into the deck, meaning we can infinitely draw the deck and discard the deck to win with paychosis crawler or Syr Konrad, the Grim I have also added in Exsanguinate as a win con to sink a large amount of mana into with Kydele

The remaining cards in the dark are solid counter spells, removal and tutors to help speed thing up and protect our board.
