So are you going for an idea or are these just cards you just had laying around?

You might want to check out the Geist deck I have listed on my profile.

My main suggestion is to streamline your set of countermagic. Efficiency is incredibly important in EDH. You want things like Swan Song, Delay, Memory Lapse, Arcane Denial, etc. I practically never include Cryptic Command in my decks. Your mana rocks could use the same treatment. Thought Vessel and Talisman of Progress need to be in here.

I mean, yeah, it's awesome in modern because of its versatility and cantrip, but it's mediocre in EDH. The cost of makes it hard to cast even on pimped out land bases and the draw part of the counter-draw effectively costs 2 mana. That's pretty terrible. Worst off, cryptic requires you to leave up 4 mana which basically requires you to do nothing with your turn. In a format that rewards proactive strategies, that's not good.

You make a very good point TheDevicer. But I personally find Cryptic Command's versatility to out way its cost.

Love this deck, +1 from a fan. I do have some suggestions but, I like the theme of the deck a lot.

While I think the pool of cards WU can draw from for aura is deep, the one thing painfully lacking is haste. Swiftfoot Boots and more specifically for Ojutai Haunted Cloak are musts, mostly because haste is incredibly valuable in a Voltron deck. Don't shrug off the cloak because of it's 3 CMC; it's the far stronger card for Ojutai. I know it cramps on the aura style of the deck, but the ability to hit with Ojutai on the turn you cast him is too good to ignore from my view.

I noticed you only run one enchantment that give double strike and one for indestructiblity. Indestructibility may be a tad costly, but getting that ability is worth it. Duelist's Heritage is one of my favorite cards to play. So politically awesome, you'll probably get offered deals from other players to borrow the ability, like not attack you or not target you, which is hilariously great.

I'd also suggest adding in mana rocks to speed getting Ojutai on the field but, at the least, Myriad Landscape is a ramp card in a land, which is super convenient with your tight selection of cards you already have.

I run an equipment version of Ojutai, one that only runs two counters though. Take a look on my page if you ever get a chance.

redace10 thank you for the +1 and suggestions. The reason I don't have boots is that my game plan is more about control than turbo out Ojutai, because I tend to play in multiplayer.

Ah I see, that's legit, your deck is very controlling. I have a smattering of other suggestions for your theme then.

Grasp of Fate is a superb spot removal enchantment card, it's also politically charged- a lot of games opponents won't touch it cause it will hurt them to give their other opponents their stuff back too. Detention Sphere is a decent second choice if grasp of fate isn't available.

Here's two blue removal spells I'm a big fan of - Curse of the Swine and Reality Shift. Curse exiles as many creatures on the board as you need, giving back a chump token you could care less about. Very controlling. Reality Shift is an underrated card - a hard exile for just 2, and manifest is a funny mechanic to throw at an edh player. If you run into a creature heavy deck it's a gamble, otherwise Reality Shift could end up being a 2-for-1, denying them a land, spell, or non-creature permanent. It's won me the game more than once I can tell you.

Hour of Revelation is far superior to Planar Cleansing.

You run a lot of instants and sorceries, and few creatures. Narset Transcendent seems like she would be a slam dunk for this deck. Rebound would be a powerful ability to throw an quite a few of your spells, and you should see card draw more often than not from her +1.

I find my DL OJ deck changes fairly frequently. I tweak a few cards once a week or so, synergy is a tricky thing to try and build in an Ojutai deck, as I'm sure you know. Keeps the deck interesting though right? Haha.
