This deck is designed to be THE big mana deck at the table, powering out an early Kruphix turn 3-4 and then looking to draw cards and make big splashy plays, because if your not casting multiple big mana spells in EDH, aren't you just doing it wrong?

In my humble opinion there is nothing better than sitting at the table and looking to throw down multiple sweet cards in a turn, whether it be using Seasons Past to draw a boat load of cards, using Myojin of Life's Web to dump 12 large fatties onto the table, or just saying f*** it and playing The Great Aurora after drawing 20 cards off a Blue Sun's Zenith, this deck is just fun.

When I built this deck it was originally meant to just be something to blow off some steam, nothing overly powerful; I scoured gatherer for 8 and 9 drops as I just wanted to make big plays. There are some sub optimal cards in this list, things such as Spawning Grounds are just fun cards to play with, however the deck has a very high win rate (because who'd have thought playing multiple 7-9 drops would be powerful?; if you are looking to make this list stronger there are cards such as Expropriate, Consecrated Sphinx, Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger, Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur...etc but that isn't the direction I wanted to take this deck in as my meta isn't particularly strong.

The weakness of this deck is that it does take a while to get going, aggressive decks are going to have a field day with you turns 2-5, because you'll rarely have more than one blocker, and so making sure you hold up spells such as AEtherize and Evacuation while playing politics is the key to making sure that you can get to the stage where you can start to do damage.
