Kresh getting a boost every time anything dies makes it really easy to pump him up to ridiculous levels (The highest I've gotten him so far is 227/227). Varolz, the Scar-Striped makes this deck possible, so getting him into your hand early and being able to protect or regenerate him is a necessity. Dictate of Erebos, Sheoldred, and Ulamog's Crusher put your opponent's creatures in the graveyard, eliminating threats and pumping Kresh, Asceticism, Archeype of Endurance, Whispersilk Cloak and Canopy Cover provide protection for the bit hitters so that they can't be exiled or controlled. and if they have a wall that's too much to get through, Vigor, Nylea, and a few other cards provide trample while Flesh and Blood let's you just directly kill any threat, which you can easily get back with certain recursion cards. Anything you can suggest to help optimize the power of this deck will be greatly appreciated as this is my first real EDH build.
