mtg, mtg cards, magic the gathering, gaming, geeks
I put cards that I'm actively acquiring for the deck in the Sideboard. The Maybeboard is for ideas that I'm toying around with. I'm substituting a few subpar cards until I get those remaining cards.
I'm trying to balance between the flavor of running lots of goblins and having the deck still be fairly competitive. Suggestions are encouraged!
Current goals include lowering the average converted mana cost.
I am seeing a distinct lack of Viashino Heretic ,
I chose not to use Viashino Heretic so that I could focus on goblin synergy, and because I already have a good number of ways to blow up artifacts.
I like this list! I especially like the synergy with Krenko, Thornbite Staff, and your sac outlets.
Have you considered running Thousand-Year Elixir or card:Magewright's Stone? It doesn't go infinite, but it'll let you quadruple your (probably) hasty goblins.
Those two cards seem fairly powerful. I'm considering making room for them, but I'm afraid to make the deck too reliant on Krenko.
That's fair. Still, that would make 3 cards that make Krenko untap, and that effect is REALLY powerful. At the very least you should put in Thousand-Year Elixir , so even if your goblins aren't hasty, at least Krenko is. And it's right on the curve with Krenko. Magewright's Stone is an afterthought, I think.
I will certainly consider the Thousand-Year Elixir . It acts like a Fervor for Krenko the first turn I play him, and the extra untap shenanigans get pretty insane.
Today I played some one-on-one games against a mono-white Isamaru, Hound of Konda deck. Turn one Serra Ascendant is such a beating! It made me think that I should focus on getting Krenko on the battlefield and pumping out dudes as early as possible. Also, I'm not sure that I have enough spot removal for problem creatures.
So far, every time that I have had a Worn Powerstone in my hand, it just sits there, since I always want to play other stuff before it. It seems like it's in an awkward part of the curve, because it enters tapped. I would rather have something like Mox Diamond , so I'm going to double down on my efforts to grab one.
Rings of Brighthearth , mainly for krenko, but also usefull for other utility goblins and Mogg Infestation is great, with haste, or to give yourself a bunch of blockers right after an attack. Goblin Recruiter helps you stack your deck. Breath of Fury for lots of attack steps (assuming, of course, you can get damage through)

I thought I would be altogether short on mana and I was wrong, but I did get screwed for red. You may want to increase the red mana sources and decrease the colorless mana sources.
