Samsara: How to Combo

Five Roles for the Combo

  • Rather than there being specific cards that create a combo ( Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Pestermite ), this combo has specific roles that can be filled by multiple different cards and the cards that fit each role can create a combo with any of the other cards in the other roles.
  • If each role is filled, then you've created an infinite loop!
  • There are a couple of situations where you'll need either an extra token producer or someway to gain life in order to not kill yourself off of ETB triggers

  • There are five roles that need to be filled for an infinite loop to be created:
    1. Token Producers: Open the Graves ; Desecrated Tomb ; Genesis Chamber ; Pawn of Ulamog
    2. Recursive Creatures: Bloodsoaked Champion ; Tenacious Dead ; Reassembling Skeleton ; Gravecrawler
    3. Sacrifice Outlets: Krav, the Unredeemed ; Razaketh, the Foulblooded ; Phyrexian Altar ; Ashnod's Altar
    4. Mana Producers: Pitiless Plunderer ; Carnival of Souls ; Phyrexian Altar
    5. Win Conditions: Bontu's Monument ; Zulaport Cutthroat ; Blood Artist ; Exsanguinate ; Torment of Hailfire ; Walking Ballista
  • Even though all of these lead to a five card combo, it has a high amount of repetitive combo pieces. When you have one card of each category out, you create an infinite loop. No matter how you mix them, they will almost always create an infinite loop that will lead you to:
    • Creating infinite mana
    • Drawing our entire deck
    • Draining your opponents
  • Even if we don’t somehow acquire the pieces necessary to create a loop, our deck’s goal is to just get as much value from our creatures as possible- via finite or infinite methods.
