Korvold, Sacrificial King

Commander / EDH* BRG (Jund)

LeSaboteur

Move over Prossh, Skyraider of Kher , there's a new dragon in Jund! Korvold, Fae-Cursed King is a sweet new commander from Eldraine. This deck is all about sacrificing anything and everything to net card advantage and one shot our opponents with Korvold, Fae-Cursed King . Even without our commander out we have other win-cons.

Combos:

Our first combo is getting Ashnod's Altar out then grabbing Nim Deathmantle and playing either Beetleback Chief , Marsh Flitter , or Siege-Gang Commander , and sacrificing one of the tokens and one of the aforementioned creatures to Ashnod's Altar and using the mana to pay for Nim Deathmantle 's ability to bring back our token generator over and over and over again to net infinite tokens. Now if Korvold, Fae-Cursed King is out we'll draw out and make him as big as we want, or we could sac all those tokens to Goblin Bombardment + Mayhem Devil to machine gun all of our opponents.

Another infinite damage combo we have is getting Warstorm Surge out on the field then playing Sekki, Seasons' Guide and having him deal damage to himself creating the 8 spirit tokens and dealing 8 damage to whomever we choose, then sacrificing them to bring Sekki, Seasons' Guide back and do it all over again until everyone's been blasted to death by our Spirit Gun.

Phyrexian Altar , Gravecrawler and either Carrion Feeder or Mikaeus, the Unhallowed gives us infinite "enter the battlefield" and "dies" triggers.

Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder , Phyrexian Altar , Cloudstone Curio and any creature of 6 CMC or less allows us to sac the thrull tokens generated off casting the said creature spell but not before returning the creature to our hand with Cloudstone Curio and then casting it again. This is especially great with token generators like Siege-Gang Commander .

With Necrotic Ooze in play, we can cast Buried Alive to put Devoted Druid , Morselhoarder and World Breaker into the graveyard. Necrotic Ooze can use the abilities of Devoted Druid and Morselhoarder to make infinite mana. If Cloudstone Curio is in play we can bring back World Breaker cast it and bounce another creature to play and bounce back World Breaker and exile everyone's resources.

Goblin Bombardment , Golgari Germination , Nether Traitor and Phyrexian Altar allows us to sac Nether Traitor with Goblin Bombardment to deal 1 damage to whoever or whatever then get a token from Golgari Germination to sac with Phyrexian Altar and play Nether Traitor again to restart the process and net infinite damage.

Mikaeus, the Unhallowed , Ulasht, the Hate Seed , and Ashnod's Altar or Phyrexian Altar allows us to get infinite colorless or colored mana and infinite tokens by removing +1/+1 counters from Ulasht, the Hate Seed to make said tokens and reanimating him continuously with Mikaeus, the Unhallowed . We can also remove the +1/+1 counters to wipe the board of any of our opponents creatures sans "Indestructible" of course.

Dockside Extortionist , Pitiless Plunderer and Revel in Riches give us a way to win the game by just having Treasure tokens and with Final Fortune we can take our next turn immediately giving our opponents no time to answer.

Synergies:

There's a plentiful amount of synergy in the deck. When Korvold, Fae-Cursed King is nice and fat we can swing in with him for lethal against one of our opponents, then during our second main phase we can cast Fling or Rite of Consumption to blast another of our opponents. With Jester's Cap we can remove key combo pieces or pesky cards like Blood Moon from our opponents deck. Zulaport Cutthroat and Blood Artist drain our opponents whenever a creature of ours dies, Meren of Clan Nel Toth let's us bring back useful creatures such as Eternal Witness , Sakura-Tribe Elder or Solemn Simulacrum to name a few. The Gitrog Monster and Crucible of Worlds give us awesome card advantage when sacrificing fetch lands. Viscera Seer is a great sac outlet that allows us to topdeck more efficiently which we will appreciate if Korvold, Fae-Cursed King is in play. We have a lot of card advantage with Liliana, Dreadhorde General , Skullclamp and any token in play and our commander so Reliquary Tower allowing us to keep all those cards we'll be drawing is a great perk. Cards such as Costly Plunder , Altar's Reap and Diabolic Intent fit right in with our sacrifice theme and also give us some nice card advantage. With Awakening Zone + From Beyond we can consistently get tokens every turn and with all the tokens we're gonna be pumping out Xenagos, the Reveler is gonna net us a $#!% ton of mana!

Korvold, Fae-Cursed King is a powerful commander with lots of combo potential making him highly competitive and always fun to play. With Korvold, the opponents at our table are nothing more than little morsels just waiting to get devoured by our decks insatiable appetite.
