Zombros. Hand disruption. TORMENT OF HAILFIRE.

The goal: Use Korlash's Grandure to ramp out Swamps ( Godless Shrine is a Swamp), then cast a huge Torment of Hailfire ... Using Lord of the Undead or Liliana, the Last Hope to return Korlash as needed. Lingering souls is just a good card, and can win games on it's own, or provide chump blocks while I set up the win.

I wanted to get some use out of the 60 zombie tribal deck I have collecting dust, so I tried to brew something modern worthy. Korlash, Heir to Blackblade , Lord of the Undead , & Phyrexian Crusader were all I could salvage. Undead Warchief being too slow, and the rest being Oddesy block and older...

I added the generic black hand-disruption package, along with some other strong Modern cards, since that's what all the cool kids are doing.

I was splashing green for Abrupt Decay , but changed to white for Tidehollow Sculler and better sideboard for my meta.

Edit: the deck has changed a lot. I now run Mastermind's Acquisition to tutor my wincon out of my sideboard. I can't decide on my splash color, so it changes from week to week. Whatever I feel like playing. The core "hand disruption, then ramp into Torment of Hailfire works regardless.
