FNM Return — June 28, 2013

This is still my current deck, I just haven't been playing as much as I used to. The last time I played an FNM was well over 2 months ago, Hence why I am cycling it...Dragon's Maze. I've seen the set, just haven't played against it. So if anyone has tips, on what I can do against, DM cards, thanks.

Turned this deck into a early game mana ramp, late game overwhelm deck. All without using dorky dork Avacyn's Pilgrim . No longer a Flicker deck, and as much as it hurts Restoration Angel is gone. Upgrade to 10 Fatties that include Thragtusk , Armada Wurm , and Angel of Serenity . Added in mass removal (Terminus , Supreme Verdict ) to wipe the board clear before i play my fatties.

Okay, I Admit it, I Miss Blade Splicer — Oct. 15, 2012

First round of super duper changes. Took out Trostani, Selesnya's Voice for Sigarda, Host of Herons . Dropped to one Clone for legendary creatures. Switched Cyclonic Rift from 3 to 2 and Azorius Charm from 2 to 3. Dropped Cloudshift for Rancor . Dropped the Arbor Elf s for Farseek , and added Two Dissipate . Over all i'm pretty excited about these changes, let me know what yall think. P.S. Need suggestions on possible taking out Restoration Angel for Yeva, Nature's Herald ..Thoughts?

Amazed by this deck. When playtesting, noticed it has great mana flow, the ability to bring out scary good cards out early, and everything seemed to mesh extremely well. This decks biggest advantage I think is the ability to control the game and force the opponent to reset while you are constantly bringing out 5-6 cost creatures. +1 for sure.

Play-testing this deck I ran into Terminus alot when I already had a good board state with 6+ mana on the board at the time.I wonder if dropping 2 Terminus for 2 more Cyclonic Rift would be a good deal?

Also possibly 2 card:Ranger's Path over the 2 Borderland rangers; since they bring 2 land onto the field instead of to hand?

Well the good thing about having too many Terminus is that they're is no such thing as having too many Terminus . Of course your not gonna use it then and there, but this is magic! And in magic anything could happen. <---Corny, but anyways if something would shake up the board while you are in control, then you still have these cards in hands that shift the momentum back to you. Cyclonic Rift is a very good card and i love it to death, But having too much can absolutely be the death of you. Also if i take out 2 terminus than the chances of me getting a miracle when i need a miracle is reduced by 50%. Thanks for the comments and playtests, I Appreciate the help!

for sideboard: trade Silklash Spider for Crushing Vines and trade Oblivion Ring for Staff of Nin (it's the bomb against control).

Well ... great deck there up to now (+1).

But I have some suggestions for you:

First of all card:Sphinx's Revelation is so strong in a control deck ... and you are ramp-control. Playing 1 is maybe to less ... i would play 3 instead of 1.I think Dissipate and Cyclonic Rift should be increased by one.

Your sideboard seems kinda random. I don't think you need any anti-air option like Silklash Spider and Pithing Needle isn't as strong as Oblivion Ring if you thought about the Control Matchup (if there are other reasons i don't said something).

And if you play something in your sideboard you want to have a good chance to get this card in your matches after boarding and 2 aren't enought in my opinion. My sideboard would look like this:

3x card:Memory's Journey

2x Supreme Verdict

2x Sigarda, Host of Herons

3x Oblivion Ring

1x Detention Sphere

4x Rest in Peace

I don't think Loxodon Smiter is needed against aggro if you put in your 2 Supreme Verdict and the mainboard Cyclonic Rift .

Ahhh and btw yeah what's about Breeding Pool for your Farseek .

Armada Wurm should probably just be 2 more Sphinx's Revelation.

Restoration Angel is back and better than ever. And when She's teamed up with Angel of Serenity Synergy just happens.

You should probably re-read Restoration Angel again. She can't target other angels.
