Started off with a knight theme... which didn't seem all that strong. Have the mana base nearly completely figured out, threw in some infinite combo pieces, and am going away from the knight theme. It's cool and all, but I think I like ETB effects x Panharmonicon We'll see how this goes.

So, Several Orzhov commander types of choose from - I've gone and run with Athreos, God of Passage for his wonderful reanimation and life pain choices. His archenemy? Afanenza. But most decks really don't like creatures going into exile instead of dying.

Athreos, God of Passage - why not make a deck around sacrificing creatures - and then make an opponent choose to put said creature into my graveyard or back into my hand, all while graveyard costs 3 life to that opponent? Sounds like it could be a thing.

Prize ETB triggers to keep everyone else's creatures from getting out of whack:

Three creatures that ETB every player sacrifices a creature: Slum Reaper, Merciless Executioner, and Fleshbag Marauder. What's not to love about making everyone sacrifice a creature, all while I figure out how to recur my stuff from the graveyard.

Panharmonicon is going to do wonders for this deck, and not really so much for when artifacts enter the battlefield.

Archfiend of Depravity - well, he's not an ETB trigger, that's for sure, but he does make everyone sac all but two of their favorite creatures in their army. Sheoldred, Whispering One does cleanup on the remaining two during each opponent's upkeep.

Rune-Scarred Demon - pretty standard issue diabolic tutor on a stick.

Sigarda's Aid - to help the couple super devastating equipments I have, Blackblade Reforged and Helm of the Host. ETB triggers to do things by copying things with ETB triggers. Sounds like fun!

Gift of Immortality - put on anyone from a land fetcher, to a real tutor, to a I'm going to have everyone sac a creature.

Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth hits the field, to help mana accelerators like Crypt Ghast, Cabal Stronghold, Cabal Coffers etc.

Twilight Prophet - nice little extra draw for life gain and drain for cmc for the revealed card.

Zulaport Cutthroat - for all those times when my creatures die and I don't want opponents to be happy about it. Can be part of an infinite loop or just really long life drain loop with Yahenni, Undying Partisan + Phyrexian Altar + Pitiless Plunderer + Oathsworn Vampire Bloodsoaked Champion + Bontu's Monument

Demonlord Belzenlok - ETB card draw repeating until you don't hit a non-land card CMC four or greater. Downside is exiling lands until you get there. Still, card draw!

Eerie Interlude - because you're going to wipe my board, why don't I just flicker my creatures back for all their ETB triggers

Indulgent Tormentor - because I like letting people decide to exchange life or let me draw more.

Karmic Guide - so that when you do pay three life to put something back to my graveyard, I get to return it to the battlefield.

Knight of the White Orchid - absolutely essential white ramp. Land tax on a stick, especially with decks like to repeat ETB triggers.

Palace Siege - no-brainer in this deck - bring my stuff back from the graveyard, please!

Sin Collector - for those times I want to work on hand disruption. So, don't let me get eldrazi displacer and this out with mana to play with. I will want to disrupt your hand state while I'm drawing.

Reya Dawnbringer - the nice portion of sheoldred's ability - bringing stuff back from my graveyard every upkeep...

Pious Evangel  Flip - a cross between life gaining Suture Priest and exact ability copy of Zulaport Cutthroat when transformed.

Now, where to put mass board removal, you know, where I destroy everything not a land?

So, this deck works pretty slick, too. I've never hit mana issues, generally get stuff that is helpful. Now, there are times when I have a bunch of land and not much going on. I think that's an issue of putting in an additional tutor or two.

Played a couple games the other night 1v1, deck came out fairly durdly. Not good against a Sphinx control deck. Didn't lose, but was definitely about to.

Next played Sphinx, a Dino deck, and a deck I didn't really see much of, except for a bunch of 0/1 creatures to support his commander.

I became enemy #1 with Archfiend of Depravity followed by authority of Consuls. Uknown and Dino decided to both attack me, got me down to 1 life. Blue player Sphinx was durdly and missed a bunch of land drops, but kept me alive by a couple key plays. I ended up killing both the other two, and almost killing the Sphinx. Next up was an Aleera? Sphinx and a boros angel deck. Aleera must die before she gets to attack. I Fleshbag Maraudered the board to kill that commander. That player was stuck on one mana under most of the rest of the game. My real problem was angel guy, because he kept stealing my stuff and throwing it at me. Not cool. So I destroyed all non-land permanents and his mana rocks were gone. I have 8 lands, you have 4. I have 20 life, you have 40. Race! I won. Don't. Steal. My Stuff. Cool, I do things. My focus on chuckleheads meant necessarily that Sphinx was left almost entirely unchecked, except by my board wipe.

Last game, same players, we decided Sphinx had had enough wins for the night.

Fun deck to play. Athreos, God of Passage - you just killed my creatures - pay three life or they go back to my hand?!

Any and all suggestions are welcome.
