Maybeboard

Need help.

Maybeboard are cards that are just on the brink of having a spot in the Main.

Here's the breakdown:

The deck wants to maintain a presence through soldiers, pumped-up weenies, and threats, while still having utility in a removal suite and some protections.

CREATURES

Soldier of the Pantheon - superb against multicolor, but can still sit as a 2/1 otherwise. (one of the top candidates to be boarded out due to the situationalism)

Doomed Traveler - REMOVED - a soldier that isn't overly threatening in itself, but does well as a two-time chump blocker (another guy that stands to be substituted).

Fencing Ace - a little guy with much bigger potential, a tiny non-heroic version of Fabled Hero .

Gideon's Lawkeeper - paves the way through on attack, or halts an attacker on defense.

Knight of the White Orchid - helps us catch up if we fall behind on land, and first strike never hurt anyone.

Precint Captain - weeniemaker

Imposing Soverign - aggro control, defensive mechanism

Knight of Meadowgrain - efficient, lifegain, first strike

Attended Knight - two creatures, one card.

Kor Hookmaster - essentially a slightly higher Azorius Arrester (but she's a she, and sexy, kinda)

Archetype of Courage - redundant for my guys that already have first strike, so more for the second ability of taking away my opponent's so I have the combat advantage.

Court Street Denizen - helps us get through, and even triggers when Brimaz attacks!

Fiend Hunter - a fatter Banishing Priest.

Preeminent Captain - the reason we want more Soldiers in the deck.

SPELLS

Harm's Way - lets us protect, and serve.

Defiant Strike - cantrip (draw), and the damage boost is pretty effective on first strikers.

Dawn Charm - It's a charm, it's versatile. Fog + Mending Touch + Rebuff the Wicked for myself? Why not.

Last Breath -REMOVED- , Path to Exile, Swords to Plowshares - cheap removal, side effects are minor.

Devouring Light - Can be cheap with the convoke, or just dump the raw mana to remove a creature of any size.

PERMANENTS

Swiftfoot Boots - hexproof mostly.

Veteran's Armaments - another reason we want Soldiers, because the weenie swarm isn't always full of weenies.

Shield of the Avatar - Harder to burn, harder to kill, offers plenty of protection to its bearer.

Soul Tithe - hits almost anything, and makes them pay (slows them down) or lose it (Whoohoo! We can kill planeswalkers!).

Arrest - pretty much negates a commander without letting them recast it. Upgrade: Prison Term (some day)

Nevermore - Opponent's commander, lulz?

Spear of Heliod and Honor of the Pure - Buffers and the Spear has removal (two in one, what value!).

Radiant Fountain - less important since taking Path of Bravery out, so I might make another cut here, but this does give us an extra breath.

Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx - REMOVED - I wish I had more things with X, like Return to the Ranks, in the board, but for now it's a good monocolor-friendly land that will have more use when my dreams find me a White Sun's Zenith to use.
